The other home countries and ROI have always had to consider players with mere links (tenuous or otherwise) to their country, whereas not so common for us. Hodgson has shown interest, but can obviously make no promises. Is he the next best thing? Should we give him more time or should we just say that as he is not committed to England (but is making a career decision) he should just go with ROI. I'm trying to work out if I qualify to play for Gibraltar, based on my dear old mum (RIP) having been born and spent her first 14/15 years there, until just before WWII broke out.
If Hodgson leaves it too late, it will be his loss, as I have just peaked.
Actually my wife says I have more than peaked. She says I'm over the hill, which is better, isn't it?

It's not his fault really it's the commentators that keep going on and on and on. He's a good player but not as good as they make out. Too inconsistent. If he wasn't he would have a lot more goals than the 50 he's now got.

But so often he has had to play with little supply....then he ends up dropping back to create something. He tries to win games on his own sometimes because he cares so much.
 
Yes, well done Wayne Rooney. That record may well last a very long time.

In other news, I would like to point out that there are old ladies resident in local nursing homes who would offer more of an attacking threat than Raheem Sterling, although they probably wouldn't fall over quite so much.

Yes, but they can't let Rooney near old ladies.
