I'm trying to work out if I qualify to play for Gibraltar, based on my dear old mum (RIP) having been born and spent her first 14/15 years there, until just before WWII broke out. If Hodgson leaves it too late, it will be his loss, as I have just peaked. Actually my wife says I have more than peaked. She says I'm over the hill, which is better, isn't it?
Been enjoying the cricket, but then turned over to the football. Wish I hadn't bothered....missed 3 wickets to watch a game that is largely stale mate. Turned back to cricket now...nice victory coming up.
I keep watching England I never learn . HT 0-0 Fed up with hearing about Rooney. Sterling not doing much. Shaw and Ox look ok.
Well done to Rooney. Don't get why people moan about him so much....can never doubt his desire to play for England. More than you can say for everyone.
Well done, Wayne. First ever to hit 50 for England. at the people who left in the 80th minute though.
It's not his fault really it's the commentators that keep going on and on and on. He's a good player but not as good as they make out. Too inconsistent. If he wasn't he would have a lot more goals than the 50 he's now got.
Wayne Rooney has now scored in seven consecutive competitive games for England - a post-war record. Can't be too bad then
But so often he has had to play with little supply....then he ends up dropping back to create something. He tries to win games on his own sometimes because he cares so much.
Yes, well done Wayne Rooney. That record may well last a very long time. In other news, I would like to point out that there are old ladies resident in local nursing homes who would offer more of an attacking threat than Raheem Sterling, although they probably wouldn't fall over quite so much.
Yes that is his problem. He needs to stay in his position more as he can't pass to himself. Sterling having an off day today.
