Nick Cave - Stagger Lee

Can't be bothered doing the rest now too annoyed!

****ing absolute classic in there last night <laugh> This couple walked in who I'd never seen before. It was very quiet in there at this stage. They sat at the bar fairly close to me. He was a pretty big bloke and she was rather pretty. They were just chatting quietly to each other, but I thought I could just detect a North American twang. After a joint and another pint, I couldn't resist any longer. I thought that they were so quiet that they might be Canadian rather than yank, so I asked the bloke. They were yanks. He was from Texas and she was from somewhere in Illinois, but they lived in Seattle. Their names were Richard (Dickie) and Gretchen Bohn <laugh> Turns out they were both pissheads. In the space of time it took me to drink four pints and a bottle of Hop Mountain, he'd downed six pints of Strongbow and she's put away 4 large white wines <yikes>

They were actually very affable and loved the ****ing place. Upon my leaving, they'd decided to stay and do the quiz. I never really established exactly why they are here (staying at someone they know's house), but it didn't really matter. You really couldn't have seen that one coming. They said they'd defo be back for more <laugh>

The others I wanted to post.....

Pulp - Sorted for E'z and Whizz
Inspiral Carpets - This is how it feels to be lonely
Mudhoney - Touch me I'm Sick
Underworld - Born Slippy (chorus)

You're a sad blue **** with zero imagination. It was funny as ****. I can't wait to find out what happened in the quiz, which as you know, can get rather heated on occasion <laugh>

I'm clearly missing the point...so you went to the pub and met two American people who like to drink (I guess that's why they were in a pub). All that I understand but where's the classic part?!

I think the classic bit, was that 2 people that weren't the usual bunch of Jeremy Kyle'esque regular piss pots actually ventured into the **** pit, and then they were from another continent ffs! And this - in ****ing Latchford!

More Jerry Springer-ish, then?

More or less this <laugh> It was just the complete randomness of it. They're also going to the match on Saturday. How the **** they got a ticket I'll never know. Dick is a Liverpool 'supporter'. Slutty Gretchen wants the scum to win <doh>

I was invited again by the same client, but I couldn't sit through that again, surrounded by baying mancs <yikes>
