the LvG obviously agrees with Lucaaas's selections and as he can do no wrong according to yoonited's hordes you're clearly in a minority of one.
Wait, how does your list look? I can't really see any of the players that weren't in the second list being any worse than the ones left in the first one. And I was being generous with Powell just because he's still quite young.
I am looking at players who played significant parts in title winning seasons, I reckon that makes them good enough
@bow4fowler* @Milk Can Yes, perhaps he did have to work in more difficult circumstances but Rafa never had to deal with having players he hadn't bought in the team like Rodgers has. And Rafa brought a lot of stuff on himself by trying to force Alonso out and replace him with Gaz Barry. Rodgers really couldn't do anything about Suarez wanting to go to Barca because its always been his dream and he said as much when he joined that we were just a stepping stone to go to Spain.
Players like those highlighted by Lucaaas get found out once they leave OT, they won what they did off the backs of the truly good players that were part of the team in whch they played. Unless. for example you class Jonny Evans as good as Vidic just because they were in the same team.
I hear things like this a lot. After watching us play for many, many years I have come to the conclusion that most of the titles Fergie won were won with half a team. Doesn't say much for the rest of the league
The mighty Djimi Traore was part of the teams that won the following FA Charity Shield: 2001 Football League Cup: 2003 UEFA Champions League: 2005 FA Cup: 2006 What a player he must have been!
So it looks like you do think all the players you've seen play for utd down the years are equal in quality and skill.
I think instead of "Godwin's law", its "Traore's law" that applies to football arguments on the internet between Liverpool & Man Utd fans.
You are missing the point, these were not occasional players, they played many games, often together. If they were not good enough I am really surprised we did so well so many duds in the team.
If you do believe that you must be pissed off with LvG ****ing off all those quality players that won titles with Utd for a group of new players with no track record of success in the prem.
Not at all, you can't stand still in football and most managers have their own idea of what they want/need from a player. I am quite happy with the quality he has brought in to replace them too.
