Ok mate, see it as you wish. But if that was my club in the exact same circumstances, I'd be ****ing fuming.
I'm not happy but I don't just blame United. Explain to me how they could have protected DDG's resale value given he refused to sign a contract extension. Also please explain to me how they could have ensured Real met their valuation given that even when Real seemed to have agreed a deal they didn't bother submitting the papers until after the deadline to ensure the deal failed?!
Firstly, they shouldn't have allowed him to get down to 12 months remaining on his deal, if he was adamant that he wouldn't sign last summer, then you should have maximised the return on him by moving him on then, and bring in Lloris or another top notch keeper. So that was their prime mistake. At the end of last season if he was still adamant he wanted away then ****ing sell him, you had no other real option. Letting it get to the last day of the window was plain daft. The RS ensured that the Sterling situation was dealt with as soon as, they did similar with Suarez, so it can be done. United let Real control the situation by not making it time bound and bringing the issue to a conclusion. Then seemingly Madrid have dry humped them on the last day....and the the only reason they were able to, was because ultimately - United gave them the opportunity to do so.
Did he? Find me a German he did sign. I honestly don't have anything against him - I even respect him for his support of the Labour party - I just found it interesting that he never signed a single German player in almost 30 years at Man U. There are reports of him saying some unflattering things about Germans, but that is pure conjecture. Also, I have to applaud you, Tobes, for often being a source of reason and interesting points in the face of some overwhelming (at times) backlash.
I agree that the time to sell him was last summer not this one. That was a mistake. This summer I don't see how they could have sold him if no one came in to buy him until the last minute and then ****ed the deal up. Perhaps it could have been speeded up if DDG put in a transfer request but obviously he wasn't going to do that as it would cost him money. Not sure how and why he's being painted as the victim in all of this. The only victim was Navas.
How many pages now on one failed utd transfer ???? Is it really that interesting? Do utd not have their own board to talk about their transfers?
"Liverpool Football Club can confirm the signing of Allan Rodrigues de Souza from Internacional.”. Signed before the transfer window shut, but has been loaned out to a Finnish side. I assume this is so he becomes eligible to play in the Prem. Don't know if he is rated, only cost £500k so defo one for the future
Yeah think it's work permit issues, same as he laws have done with their Brazilians they signed this window
I'm sure he'll be loaned out a few more times and then sold in a few years without making a single appearance.
Liverpool will meet with a prominent supporters' group as they look to resolve a disagreement about flags at Anfield. (Liverpool Echo) Former Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy says Brendan Rodgers's side will fall short of Champions League qualification again this season.
To be fair, academies are not just about developing players for the first team. Successful academies go onto make profits as well. £500k for Allan should be easily recouped at the very least.
Sure which is why chelsea are doing what they do but it simply does not make it right on a human level.
Why? Young players have a choice, they don't have to sign for Chelsea. If you're 17 and they are interested then you know you're likely to go out on loan for 3 years before you get a chance... I'm sure the money they earn helps them cope
What about all the kids flowing out of Africa and Brazil to **** holes in Russia etc where they are treated like dog dirt? This is not good.... Not good at all as they ain't 17 they are chasing a better life on false promises and sleazy agents selling them like cattle. The state of Brazilian football is what it is because of this btw.
