We need 4th for Champions League or the yearly exodus of our top talent continues. If he doesnt achieve we need another new exciting beginning with a name that can convince the existing talent to stay and convince top players to get involved in the project. Klopp or Ancelotti basically. Im behind the team and manager and hope he can ope he can deliver a cracking season for us. Must admit that I dont have that exciting feeling though currently and im pessimistic in my outlook. If all goes wrong this season id like to see a mature managerial figure such as Ancelottti come in for a few years until Gerrard is ready to take the reigns. We spend alot, as much as other perennial Champions league teams and we should be competing year in tear out. Something just isnt right.

We have been spending money like a top 4 club but playing like a mid table one. And our manager if we are all honest is a mid table average one too.

The only thing I'm surprised about is that BR is still here. The guys a phoney. He got lucky for half a season where he arguably had the best player in the world dragging everyone along with him.

I've never seen a balanced team with him....he's flogged every leader and personality the team has ever had and wasted money like I've never seen before....i just hope that Klopp gets a bit bored very soon.

Can Brendan Rodgers turn water into wine?. If the unthinkable happens we beat United: people shift their opinions very quickly. I am not sure of what they are going to be saying<ok>

That he he won a game; three points away to a direct rival: job well done. Then he and the team need to keep their mouths shut and move on to the next one.

I'm not saying be negative like Roy just not too sell congratulating after one win which comes back to haunt you if you draw or lose the next one. I mean IF we beat United that will have been 3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss in first five playing two top four teams? Build on that.

Quietly amass the points, ugly at first then see where it goes.

BR is not capable of this. His narcisim knows no ends. He'll wallow in the glory, even if we fluke a win and Lovren will be a king again.....until the next gory error. It doesn't take a genius to see that his capabilities are limited. Just ask 'arry! <ok>

FSG should be the ones to ask Arry because they obviously don't listen to the majority of their clubs own supporters.

Completely agree, get the points and quietly move on and get 3 more, but like some suggest Rodgers isn't capable of shutting his mouth.

Aye, I'll take the opinion of that master of football management on board right enough. Well if Rodgers repeats mistakes in Judgement year on his head be it.

    Top 4 is absolute minimum.

I would rather he kept the youngsters and use them in cup games, and let his first team rest and focus on the league.

    No top 4 - sacked.

In fact, I wouldn't even give him the whole season. If Klopp is ready to come back, we go all out and get him in.

In my eyes BR has dropped another clanger today. Joao teixeira is omitted from the euro squad and players who didnt need to be included because of age are included. Teix has been frozen out it would seem and I guess is another who has impressed and will probably leave for next to nothing. Pissed

Did Emre not give the possible reasons for this on his Europa post? Possible explanation for loans too?

    This^.
Though I'd say exciting, attacking football- I don't want backs-to-the-wall excitement all the time.
I've said it many times, being entertained and excited while I'm watching the games is far more important to me than counting the points the rest of the time, or having some daft bragging rights over rivals.
Of course, being exciting and successful is the perfect mix, but a season of games like we'd have so far (Arsenal apart), would drive me barmy. Despite the reasonable points haul, it's been excruciating at times.

What happens if Klopp is Krapp?
He's being touted as a dead cert saviour, but very little in football is guaranteed.
