Na we drive on the RIGHT side of the road not the wrong side, you all drive on the left. Actually most of the world drives on the right, its really only a few former english colonies that drive on the left.

Yea the smoke moves depending on what time of day it is. Some times it gets so bad you can hardly drive and sometimes it so bad you cant leave the house. Even when you cant see it you can smell it and it makes peoples allergies act up.

Probably was part of our immigration policy. Didn't really work it seems...the Vikings didn't care.:emoticon-0105-wink:

PS: Did the fires effect your neck of the woods at all ?

We had 5 fires on my street but non got bigger than about 10 acres. The really big fires this year were on the other side of the valley so we get smoke in the evening but they are not really close by. There is still another few weeks to fire season but its looking good for us this year.

Good news that.

I saw on BBC this morning that fires are raging again in California and that Jackson county is worst affected, is that anywhere near you Ellewood?
I think you mean Jackson the town and not Jackson County. There is big fire near me called the Butte Fire outside of a town called Jackson. Basically my house is in between two towns, El Dorado and one called Plymouth, Jackson is next to Plymouth. The photo I took above your post was that fire when it was 100 acres on Wednesday as of yesterday it was 65,000 acres. It has blocked out the sun for the last couple days and the smoke is real bad. They havent given a new acreage for how much the fire grew last night yet as its still only 9 am here.

I forgot, the big worry right now is that the fire is only about a mile from one of only 2 places in the world that Giant Sequoias exist. They are saying on the news that they are building fire breaks around the trees and the grove and that they are going to do everything they can to save them.

They will do what they can. It will destroy the local economy like nothing else if they lose them. Its literally the only reason anyone would ever go to that area. They lose those trees and everyone will lose their jobs.
I hope there's no one living in them elle...

You could live in one, they are big enough. Some of them you can drive vehicles through (they dont let you anymore but the holes are still there). There is also one in the grove that is threatened that they cut down and turned the stump into a massive dance floor.
