What "opportunity"? The chance to play for a mid-table championship club? Sounds like the usual soundbite from a new signing at his unveiling. Still makes no sense at all, just don't get it.
It makes me laugh and cry. Never get an opportunity like this again? Like what? To play in the championship? WTF?
Ah, I don't buy boxes, for that very reason! My bottle emptied.....but that's because I had to drink it. Cant afford to lose it to evaporation
I went for a quiet couple of pints around 5, content that the Johnson rumours were bollocks and that we may not do outstanding business today, but we wouldn't weaken ourselves. I've come in to Johnson gone for a frankly paltry fee, and Vadis and Andreu out on loan. If we count Dorrans as a summer signing, we've a net spend of about £4m, and our wage bill probably hasn't changed much. What the **** are we doing? Boro and Derby have outspent us!
Exactly what I said on twitter. We weakened ourselves, while every other Premiership club strengthened, and I'm jealous of a lot of Championship sides. It was so embaressing to keep seeing in the press all these players reject us....but then on top of that, we lose some of our best players to Championship clubs too!? F**k sake....I don't understand! How have we improved on that?! We now look even more pathetic! What kind of players can we attract in Jan after this window, and most probably being bottom of the table.
Player of the Year, Vice Captain, crucial goals he scored. Maybe in the championship ok, but we may be down there next season and need him. Short sighted cashing in. Good luck to him at Derby
This is the side we've let go: Bunn Cuellar Turner Miquel Garrido Murphy Andreu Vadis Johnson Murphy Van Wolfswinkel With a bench of Matthews, McGeehan, McFadden, Morris
