I think he's a poor pl player more than happy he's gone - and I think AN feels the same based on the midfielders he's signed
I'm afraid the last thing I want right now is a 'hug' to emotionalise this and pretend that everything is all right. It isn't. It's a ****ing mess.
Did we sign Andreu on loan initially in January and made it perm in the summer? Or was it always a perm?
So depressing...O'Neil will obviously be a key play for us, as well as Lafferty and Grabban......My god we are in trouble.
David McNally on Bradley Johnson signing his new deal in February (Yes it really was just 6 months ago) "Bradley epitomises everything great about this football club for me"
Apologies if some of my responses are particularly 'barbed' this evening by the way, as you can guess I'm in a pretty **** mood right now
I'm so angry tonight my girlfriend has come home and has been very selective on when to speak...Bless her. I just can't calm down, feel so let down, and I was pretty positive about scraping survival, tonight, I feel we have no chance.
We may still stay up, and maybe Bradders was no longer gonna be 1st choice but surely a very valuable squad player. Where will we get his goals back from? Whilst I liked him even in previous PL seasons he had plenty of detractors. Is he good enough for the PL? Under AN I think so, more importantly though it would appear AN didn't think so. Bradders in my opinion was not someone who would have run from the challenge of getting in the team, so I can only imagine it was clear to him he was to play second fiddle. Without knowing the facts it's hard to say if this is all as bad as it seems now. I can't believe we've taken £6-7m for him and kept Grabban when £5-6m as on offer? I don't think anyone can deny the windows has been disappointing, it does scream a risk averse lack of ambition. If it isn't lacking ambition because we tried to sign other players then it lacked; realism, competence, obvious strategy and the where with all to actually succeed with that ambition. Very poor from the board. McNally has done plenty right at this club but this window will not be added to that list! Bah!
I honestly can't understand getting rid of BJ when there is so much other ***t in the squad that needs moving on. Our club suffers from an un ambitious board that always excuses its self under the title of being prudent. Delia etal have been lucky so far scraping through crisis but still surviving. I hope to hell I'm wrong but we will be lucky to stay up imo. We all know if Southampton Swansea etc can do it why can't we?
Clearly BJ wasn't sold against his will. In fact it looks like he initiated it... “As soon as Derby showed interest in me, I sat down with my family, spoke about it and said it was an opportunity that might not come around again. “I spoke to Norwich as well and it was something that they was interested in doing as well.
