Likely to have offered more money and premiership football, why would he join you (no offence being made, but what sense would that make?). It's just like Forest trying to sign him last season, saying he wanted to join with no proof at all, and then he decides to stay and sign a new deal. Now i'm all for a bit of friendly banter between clubs and even a bit of intellectual debate. I,ve had disagreements with my own fans(ipswich fans not fans of mine) and fans of other clubs, this is to be expected and is fine but what is not acceptable is bringing into the argument the merits of facial hair past and present i have no tolerances for this and hope the moderators clamp down on such ignorance.
And as for the "Whittingham going to Ipswich is a step-up" comment, if he joins any other championship club, it is a side-ways step. What is he going to gain by staying in the championship if he is to move. Norwich, Wigan and Sunderland have and are rumoured to still be monitering his situation if he decides he wants to leave. If he's going to leave it's probably for the prem.

Apart from the fact that we have a higher average attendance than you, finished higher in the league than you and have a bigger fanbase than you, just what "measurements" are you using, the fact that you won a few trophies in the past? No one is dismissing Ipswich as insignificant, (this smacks of having a chip on your shoulder) but by the same token you are not "The mighty sleeping giants" you seem to think. Without including Cardiff I can think of 9 clubs in the championship that are at least as big, and probably bigger than Ipswich.

All this arguing is a waste of time. like i said, Ipswich fans were all over our board on, the old 606, telling us they were going to sign Chopra last season, and that was during the two transfer windows(seems they never stop dreaming) and all because him and Keane were mates. Well you eventually got Chopra, but he isn't the same Chopra you wanted back then I'm afraid, and many were hoping he would move on from Cardiff, I've yet to find any Cardiff fan who doesn't think it was for the best. Now they think Chops and Whitts are mates and that will help any deal. Quite simply, unless they push the boat out on this one with lots of lolly, Whittingham will remain a Cardiff player and Ipswich will have to look elsewhere
No. you were wrong, you didn't get him, we palmed him off on you, no mean feat considering his antics over the last few months with us. The point, which you are understandingly avoiding, is you couldn't get him when we didn't want to sell. And this was when most of the footballing world seemed to think we would have to sell due to money problems, it all sounds familiar. Don't worry, when he is passed his sell-by date you can buy him, we know where to offload those not up to the job don't we.
