Daily Mail - Each summer, Prime Time Sports, who represent and advise number of stars across the globe, compile a report in Europe's Top 20 players under the age of 21.
The report includes a scientific index which calculates each star key's value based on a number of factors including length of contract, position and market value.
The report, named the Soccerex 20, uses analysis of player performance, press reports and minutes played among other factors to work out a player's value

So if it's an up to date list has "the new Henry" changed his name to Sterling by deed poll?

As much as I despise United, it serves Real Madrid right.

They deploy this tactic all the time - publicly declare interest well in advance then make a move late in the window.

They were the ones who left it late to do a deal.

Echo:

- As it stand, Tex is not going out on loan.

- Ilori is now considering a loan move to Villa.

so bascialy nobody wants teix and ilori blew his chances by getting injured yet again.... the last 3 years no matter what is claimed the facts show he's hardly payed due to successive injuries on two separate loans.

pity but thats what seems to be in LFC's head.

No, the deal was done.

United lodged their side of the paperwork well inside the deadline.

Madrid didn't even lodge theirs at all!

Something stinks here.

It's win-win for Madrid, they kept Ramos, Benzema and Navas and will get De Gea for a packet of Haribo's next summer.

dunno but it sure is interesting and upsets both players and both clubs a bit.

Real could have done this deal ealier but utd wasn't a lot so the navas part only came up over weekend no?

Some interesting comments by Real Madrid official statement:

MUFC did not open talks until yesterday morning

Agreement with De Gea and Navas sorted and docs forwarded to MUFC at 13:39.

Man United sent its comments to the contracts 8 hours later (21:43)

Once signed, redrafted comments sent to MUFC at 23:32

Final agreement with players reps made at 23:53 and contracts sent to players to sign.

MUFC sent TMS data to Real Madrid at 00:00. Real Madrid received it at 00:02

Makes you wonder if it was all "on purpose". MUFC fabricated a paperwork error to keep him.

"I'm sorry De Gea, we tried to let you go... But those slow lazy Spaniards... But hey, since your here and we tried to sell you as you wanted, why not play for another season?"

On Enrique's impending departure... I didn't think he was that bad. More attacking than defending perhaps. Bit of a glass frame... Overall not bad.

Rodgers obviously didnt want him though.
I like Enrique too. Same old story with injuries - we'll never know what might have been. I also think we played better with a Spanish contingent, than without.

Got the impression its yoonited's fault it fell through but the majority of sports journos over here are still blaming Real.

hmmmmm...

I wonder if any offical headers can be published showing these being sent.

Clearly an 8 hour window shows a very long dragging of the feet.

It shows they don't want Navas much doesn't it? <laugh> That's one interpretation that can be made. I'm sure the guy will be saying hmmm.. next window if de gea comes i'm off elsewhere.

i think the attitude part was telling. the rumours were he could have got back on the pitch much more but wasn't pushed to recover.

So much BS and game playing from both Utd and Real

Utd obviously have deliberately hindered / stalled the paperwork and deal as a whole to some degree

But Real have left it to the last second as always happens and only have themselves to blame, are paying the price for that now

What did RM expect really ... Utd badly want to keep the player, they play kiss chase all summer and get cock blocked at the last moment

They're both as much to blame / not blame as the other for it not happening ... it just illustrates the shoddy, shady, underhand business practices that dominate top level football
