Ben, this goes with my theory of the new found thriftiness being more about FFP - and avoiding fines (both this year's and two years ago).

Yup agree with that. In the long term picture it's important to not been seen as pushovers in the transfer market as well. We have the money to say no/high asking prices. Yes we might lose out on lots of cash on Austin now but in the long term we will make more money on transfers this way. I wouldn't be surprised to see Charlie sign a contract extension with clauses securing both him a transfer and the club money down the line (January or next summer if not promoted).

I am sitting here wondering if anyone has the balls to investigate SKY. It does seem that a lot of what they say on SSN is done to manipulate the market on Sky Bet. (Has been said before by others.)

Daily Mail journalist Sam Cunningham is reporting that Charlie Austin will not be leaving Queens Park Rangers before the end of the transfer window.

Charlie training as normal......looks promising.

No news on Phillips, but as saying goes "No news is Good News"....

All is very quiet and boring ..and "no news" is certainly "good news"!!!!!

I am now leaving for a drve and a meeting. I sincerely hope that "nothing" happens whilst I am out.

Just seen this in the Daily Fail:

Palace and Norwich enquire about QPR's Onuoha
11:58 Simon Jones:

Crystal Palace and Norwich City have made enquiries about signing QPR defender Nedum Onuoha on a permanent deal. Onuoha, 28, is available on a free transfer.

Where does this stuff come from?

Long may this quiet day continue. Just bring in the center back. Then knocks the phones off the hook , turn off the wifi , lock down the windows and doors at Loftus Road and then it would one of our best transfer windows for a very long time
