Dieumerci Mbokani joins @NorwichCityFC today. Earlier it was reported that season-long loan deal but it can become a permanent transfer.
Hopefully the "it can become permanent" is an option, rather than the current vogue for loan deals with a compulsory price already agreed. I think those deals have tended to involve champion's league clubs trying to cook the books for FFP (although Kiev are of course a CL side).

What's nice though is that we'll have agreed a price for a player with 1 year left on his contract, at today's market rates. Next summer TV money goes up by 70% so teams will want even more ludicrous fees from Premier League clubs. If Mbokani is a hit, it'll be a relatively small outlay next summer to turn it permanent and allow him to continue seamlessly up front, it'll certainly save money for other areas. And of course if he's a flop, or we go down, we can get rid.

Edit: I see KIO has beaten me to making much the same comment, in far fewer words!

So according to flighttracker24/twitter, a private jet landed at 10am this morning at Norwich, flying in from Ostend airport (Bruges). Make of that what you will.

I believe people other than footballers/football executives avail themselves of private jets.
Surely not? Pretty sure the world revolves around football.

It might well not be of interest. Sky Sports are now reporting that Mbokani has flown in for his medical today, but that could be completely unrelated.

That account isn't verified, but presumably as reliable as most transfer news outlets, ie: not.

If Walters is available for £2-3m, him plus Mbokani with Grabban to Bournemouth, Lafferty to Wednesday and Hooper to Fulham, would do me nicely on the striking front. Might be nice to keep Hooper, but RvW seems to be harder to shift.

Doing that business would probably leave us with more money and a smaller wage bill than we started with, and would hopefully allow us to get one of these decent CBs we've been supposedly chasing.

That's three in and at least one out in 26hrs though, so McNally better have his choice of stimulant in!
