I like him but I find it very strange just HOW inconsistent WH have looked so far.
Liverpool have relied on history for too long, they look crap, and Arsenal can't finish. Leicester have looked good for a while and Ranieri has continued their great form into the new season, and Bournemouth were the better team at Anfield and should really have come away with 3 points.

It's all a bit topsy turvy at the moment. Two brilliant wins for West Ham and two very indifferent games. I just think it's funny that the Spuds are the worst placed London team after their fans are constantly giving it the big un'.

No change there, then!

Gary Monk is one of the best young managers around. Because he is English he is not a headline grabber but I've said on here before that I think he will manage England one day when the FA decide they want a fresh modern approach to English football.

Hell will freeze over before the ol fogies at the FA decide on taking a fresh new approach. It's got to be better than the dross England dish out every International tournament.

The problem with being England manager is that you are stuck with English players, our national managers are not failures, they are just not miracle workers.

What would most worry me as a United fan is how average their first XI looks after so much money has been spent on it.

Then you haven't watched us, if we had a clinical striker (even Giroud) then we would have won all our games so far quite easily <ok>

From the top teams, only Man City have improved this season and they clearly look a level above all the other teams in this league, but I am going to be intrested to see how they do in the CL this year, because if they flop, then the quality of the PL really is a lot worse than we think it is.

Premier league quality is poor mate, has been for 5 or 6 years. I don't think it is all about the players though, more the style/tactics of management.

Yep, was thinking about the period between 2005-2009 the other day, and that was actually a real peak for the PL. Man United were one of the best three teams in Europe, Chelsea were really strong, even Liverpool was a force in Europe and us despite not having that much money back then, had a pretty good team with Fabregas at his peak and we reached a CL final and semi-final.

Complete rubbish. I watched every second of you against Spurs and you were awful. A striker would have made no difference. Highlights of other games and other reports suggest little improvement.

We have had at least 3 clear cut chances each game but barely made the keeper work <doh>
