How High The Moon 9/4 Curragh 2.35 - full sister to Diamondsandrubies (winner of Group 1 Pretty Polly) who I flagged up when making a very nice introduction over 7f at the Curragh on her debut. She was still green in patches that day and should have came on a heap for the outing, I'd be expecting her to follow up In this listed heat here with Joey doing the steering. Smash Williams 13/8 Curragh 3.45 - made a stunning maiden victory 8 day's ago over CD, bolting up by 6.5 length's . On strict formlines, Weld's Juliette Fair beat Indrahar by 7.5 lenghts and receives 3lb.here, (although Rockaway Valley had her in behind on debut), where as Smash Williams beat Indrahar by the 6.5 length's on his debut which would mean there isn't much between the trio here, but I think the manner of Smashs' debut run won't be lost on him and he could be something special. It's a nice contest and I wouldn't be suprised if he drifted to a nicer price before the off. I will take the chance that he can improve again and take the Round Towers group 3 for the Bolger/Manning combo. I'm sure Beefy will be all over My Titania In the Fillies race and any Liverpool fans will surely be siding with number 6 in the 3.45 at Deauville! Happy punting folks.
Indeed! Pont Alexandre's half sister makes her debut in the Cork bumper for Willie Mullins. I hope she proves more successful than Hurricane Fly's sister, Avichi has thus far!
Decided to change my username after four wonderful years!been given a new source so it's probably wise not to post anymore under my own name going forward. You can still call me Ste though! Just spent a fair while looking at today's card at the Curragh and it's a case of doing well to find one winner alone!Anyway between a couple of tips and my own fancy I've gone with the below wagers but will be happy with one winner! Was told Clear Skies has an Ew chance in the second but can't see it ahead of How a High the Moon. 3.10 Maknificent win 6/1 3.45 Juliette Fair 9/2 4.20 Boccaccio Baciata win 11/4 4.50-Pinsticking stuff in the Cambridgeshire but with Powers paying five places all have a small Ew wager on Algoquin & Hint of Tint
5.05 Bev. I quite like the look of JEBIDIAH SHINE to land the 3 timer. Likes to lead so is ideally drawn in stall 2 over this 5f sprint. Josh Doyle has won on him the last couple of times and claims a handy 7lb. This is a better race than before but with less weight to carry I can see the 3 timer being landed. Around 3/1.
Yep I like that one too, also like Automotive in the 3.40 at Goodwood, (won this race in 2013), not been in the greatest of form lately but at 9/1 then I am happy to go the each way angle.
Jamie Spencer at it again at Yarmouth there. Disgraceful riding but then again, some doughnuts keep on booking the guy knowing full well what he will do.
Will have a small punt on Pharoh Jake in the last at Goodwood (5:15). Strange breeding on the damside for a sprint, but what the heck, should appreciate the soft ground.
3.05 Goodwood TOM HARK 9/1 Should relish the conditions and although I do like Peterhof and think he could become a nice stayer or middle distance 4 year old next year, I'm not sure he wants this ground.
Any thoughts on the Irish Cambridgeshire today lads? Ste (oops,, shhhhhh, Zebrahead I mean ) is this Bolger runner the proverbial group horse in a handicap? A 5lbs penalty for winning a listed race last time doesn't look too harsh in the scope of this race, might be tempted by a slice of 7s e/w
Always tricky Oddy. In the next, Juliette Fair looked a lovely filly last time out and I'm hopeful she can handle softer ground today with a view to showing signs of stamina for a 1000 Guineas crack next year. Shapes like she might go further so interested to see her progress. Bolgers horse was impressive though LTO.
Stellar Glow e/w at the Curragh- eventually Manning might give her a proper agressive ride from the front and try to steal it.
Not fecking happy at all. Been trying to access Stanjames for the last 45 mins without success. Had the winner Rosina and the TC and now JS. not having a good day really.
The locals clearly fancied Dettori going to Deauville for Gosden - it only paid 5.2 on the PMU despite being 16/1 on the betting forecast.
