The game was thrown imo. It's great to be able to play an experimental side but this club is in apposition that they have brought in a new team
Swap a few … evaluate the risk to key players yes but don't be so arrogant to play a side constructed on a training pitch in a cup that is disrespected
The question of who's up for it or not I thought had already been asked and answered … we lose, are outplayed by a poor performing league side and he comes back with bollocks about who's up for it? This breeds the wrong message and soon the regular first team players will be acting like superstars knowing no one in the stiffs is good enough. You drop a player and then try out a player that is doing well in training then it's a win win imo. The first team player raises his game while the incoming player has everything to prove … What CR did wrong was to announce in the press that he would rest players … by that i hope then the team that played last night was trained and prepared for that match? … it didn't look like it to me … it looked like he just picked a team on paper and guess what it went wrong again.

All this of course is rubbish if we win 3-0 at the weekend but so far QPR look very loose to me and will concede goals. I would of played the first choice bad five last night at the very least. Th rubbish about about a rest is rubbish you need more football playing in defence no less to get mental sharpness .. you need to get bite into game and play as a unit. Buying players like people claim on here and just dropping them in is complete idiotic rubbish! Exactly why QPR fans have become to be known as fickle. You need don howe type of man working on our unit 24/7 … we have the players that can be groomed.

We have two midfields at the moment so only two should of been swapped imo
Chery riding high needed to start, Faurlin needs more time that is clear to see

CR got it wrong and is looking very stupid blaming players he picked IMO

He has 6 games IMO to show us what some of us believe he is a brilliant coach … the manager stuff he looks to be learning the hard way but i will support him

Yes true, Watford_R, but a QPR fan is always inclined to over-react, the past few years anyway? That includes me. <laugh>

I was glad that he has said unacceptable....but he says the senior players did not perform apart from Hill?!!!...

Who exactly does he mean? Hoilett, well what does he expect.... and possibly JET. These two I wouldnt put in the team to motivate the rest/youngsters etc and if anything these two need confidence from experienced players!

    Also where is Diakite?

Don't think it would have worked out like that actually, had we gone through. Different set of circumstances and I believe a different ball number.

    An
And have the perennial shyte pre-season. Not use a very winnable cup game to see who's good and who's not. Poor preparation and bad management nothing less.

I was at the final and we have to thank the Derby defender for our promotion because after all the diving around on the floor battling for the ball that's where Hoillett kicked it, straight to the Derby defender or did you see a measured pass to OBZ?

I agree with a lot of this.
Grego-Cox is a player fans have been calling to be included in squads for a while now ("Why consider Best for the bench when we have GC?). Furlong featured for us last season, and is 2nd choice right back. Doughty is someone many have suggested should replace Henry in our starting lineup.

I was very disappointed with all of these players- and their inclusion wasn't disdainful in my opinion. Our first team had played 2 games in 4 days, 3 games in 8 days, and looked knackered Vs Rotherham on the hottest day of the year. It's a shame Gladwin/Mackie/Yun were injured yesterday as they'd have obviously started.

Everybody who played yesterday is supposedly on the verge of the 1st team, and should feel they have point to prove- so rightfully questions need to be asked about the depth of our squad now (particularly if/when Austin/Phillips/Fer leave).
The criticisms of Ramsey are unfounded.

If that was over a few seasons then fair enough but it was one relegation season, that's all mate. I think he flattered to deceive that year because in reality he's Pony

    A couple of points...
    1. Would that still have been your view had a key member of the squad got injured? You probably would have been moaning about CR not resting the key players as it is the league which is important.

    2. The chances of it being Liverpool had we gone through are very slim, so it probably would not have been Liverpool. It was not a pre determined draw, it would have been in different circumstances, and the ball number would have been different.

Nope re injuries that's football its just inside a QPR fan's mind that we will lose a player … percentage wise it doesn't happen.
Agree our balls would of been different

Agree with this. A few too many changes for me but this was a team that should have been up to the task. Ramsey gave them a shot and they didn't respond. That said I do like the look of Polter.

Can't understand all the bleating on here. We played virtually a complete second XI which included several young players making their first start for the first team. Our youth team competes at the third tier of national competition and not very successfully at that level, to expect them to suddenly be capable of producing results even against League Two teams is ridiculous and against Championship teams in the League would be suicidal.

Our youth set-up has been shyte for over a decade and is still way behind many teams competing at a lower level than us. We never progress in the FA Youth Cup and until this serious weakness is addressed we'll never get anywhere with our own home-produced youngsters. It will take at least 7-8 years before any players capable of progressing straight into the first team become available, and that's assuming we take the necessary steps to get an Academy worthy of the club's name up and running asap.

We will need to buy promising youngsters in the meantime but those who think we have a squad capable of seeing us through a rash of injuries/suspensions got the wake-up call last night, our back-up just isn't anywhere near Championship quality...

What's the issue? Hoilett put a **** cross in which got lucky because the defending was park standard. He's been with us for several years now, played 83 games which isn't much for that amount of time and had very few good games.

Injuries are considerably more likely if it's that player's third game in seven days which would have been the case for all our key players. I doubt the board would have wanted Austin or Phillips risked given one or the other is probably to be sold this week.

Can't understand the statements that these players aren't good enough
It was the team and missed opportunities
    We were outplayed
Agreed with CR that the game should of been killed off however
