Best thing to do is start with an artist who's work you love, and discuss it with them. That way you end up with something hopefully unique and personal. Rather than scrolling down Google looking for something to copy.

Wouldn't copy, just looking for ideas that I can tweak
 
Why not rather than a old style pocket watch you make the clocks watch faces like a proper man watch with 3 mini dials showing birth date etc for each.
