Hernandez, for playing like he gives a ****, a few ****ing others need to take note
Hayden, for doing more in 25 mins, which still wasn't a great deal, than those other 2 waste of space CMs provided
McGregor, only player to start the match who didn't stink the place out

Hernandez

Hayden

Mcgregor

Who else can you possibly pick apart from Aluko at a push?? awful display

McGregor
Hernandez
Hayden

I don't like voting for subs so McGregor takes first place, plus none of the other starters were deserving of a spot I don't think

Hernandez - Perfect performance, didn't put a foot wrong, great touches, great runs, proper poacher's goal. I really don't understand why he was dropped after a very good performance mid-week

Hayden - Added energy which we desperately needed and didn't **** himself at the prospect of taking a shot at goal

McGregor - Great save at 1-0 to keep us in it

In defence Dawson had a poor game, Curtis looked shaky at times, Odabajo not as good in either attack or defence as he was mid-week, Robertson had a very poor game; atrocious crossing, poor decision making.

In midfield Huddlestone was shocking, Meyler showed his inconsistency with an erratic performance after playing fantastically on Wednesday, Elmo was horrendous, Aluko was the only one who didn't play badly.

Up front they had poor service but Jelavic didn't look interested at all, Akpom was fairly invisible.

At the moment I'd be happy for Jela, Huddlestone and Elmo all to go as long as we have enough time to find suitable replacements

I'd keep Elmo I just wouldn't start him every game. It feels sometimes like he takes his place for granted. I think he could improve if he felt he had to play consistently to keep his place.

As long as he's here Bruce will play him, that's why I wouldn't mind him leaving as it would force Bruce to change things up

McGregor, he kept us in it.
Hernandez, looked like he wanted it, probably 'cos he's trying to impress other clubs.
Hayden, seemed to understand what an attacking midfielder was.

The sad thing is he's a defensive midfielder, it's just that our midfield was so poor that his two shots at goal and forward passing made him look particularly positive

Hernandez....looked quality...good anticipation for goal...lively performance.
McGregor...fine save to keep us in it.
Hayden...best performance since he came. nice two shots on goal to set up Hernandez.

Awful first half...team only woke up in last 20 minutes....just not good enough....defensive cover very weak today.

Hernandez
Hayden
Struggling for a 3rd but would give to Meyler for workrate.

Defence poor today. Both full backs had awful games. Centre backs not much better.

Aluko flattered to deceive as usual. Two shocking shots. Jelavic moaned and moaned at others then messed up the best chance big time.

And Huddlestone was utter dross.
