BBC Humberside Sport @HumbersideSport EXCLUSIVE: #hcafc midfielder David Meyler says he's been offered a new contract by the club this summer. More in @RadioHumberside 1307 sport
I doubt it, we were in the Championship when we signed him, it's more likely that we're just tying him up because he's in his final year.
Great player at this level Dave, good luck to him ,think he would have progressed last season if given a proper run too, still learning the game after early career setbacks.
So he should be. Good lad great attitude. Never complains, plays where he's told, and just gets on with it. Put in a couple of great crosses t'other night too.
There's a guy who sits behind me in south stand who boos when meyler's name (and quite a few others) is read out pre game and slags him off all game even when he's playing well. Meyler's a good honest player at this level who gives the team a lot yet some people just refuse to see it.
He's a good honest player at any level. Whether he's good enough is your own opinion. But Bruce picks him and he gives it his all, what purpose does it serve to boo any player.
I think those three are all also out of contract next summer. As is Aluko. http://boothferrytowembley.blogspot.co.uk/p/player-contracts.html
Good player at this level, ****e in the Premier League. Like Bruce Jnr. Hopefully it's not a massively long deal, otherwise we will struggle to get rid if we do go up.
Excellent news. He gives us much lacking mobility and aggressiveness in CMF. Him and Maloney should work well together.
We need him for this year, certainly, but I'd have held off until we knew where we'll be playing next season.
But then he'd be out of contract. Once deadline day is over, then discussions will presumably be stepped up with other 2016 expirees Davies, Elmo, Huddlestone, Aluko etc (or at least whichever of them are still at the club).
