Agree with all that's gone before, both kits are absolute shockers and that's 90% down to the cheap and tacky sponsor. For the first time in over 20 years I won't be buying the new home shirt and won't go near the away one either - at least until they're cheap at the end of the season and then I just might to keep my collection going. Looks like I'll be going retro when wearing my shirt to games this season. Tiger stripes anyone?
If the sponsor can be peeled off or washed out, then i may buy it.. but it is absolutely shocking.. why on EARTH would you have the sponsor in a big black background on a bright blue shirt? shocking **** addidas
there's gotta be some political reasons to this the sponsor is still obvious as ****, maybe the fact they paid so much meant they demanded their logo to be visible from the moon?? this would have been so much better and still works, logo is still very visible and makes it better. please log in to view this image

Deans photoshopped version looks far better . Thats how it should have been done and on the home shirt white writing with a black edging ( just like the totesport logo on last years home shirt.)

have no problem with C&C, but fook me it looks really bad on the away shirt. looks like a cover up of a sponsor !!!, i was waiting for this and it has really pissed me off that they couldnt have come up with a better design for the away shirt. probably taken 10 designers to come up with that !!! and one city fan (Dean 25) on a forum to come up with the best one !!!! rant over (fooking ******s)
Believe me, no designer would ever let that monstrosity out. It's a well know design rule that white type on a black background is harder to read than black type on a light background. This is purely a case of the sponsor (client) dictating what they want with no knowledge of what actually looks good. I really hope that the club compare first week sales against any of the last 5 years shirt releases and realise that they have truly dropped a bollock on this. Fans buy the shirt - it makes no sense to not consult with fans groups or conduct a poll of around 1,000 supporters to see if the design is acceptable. Time to resurrect the FLC!!
Maybe someone should e mail the club stating that "the fans" buy the shirts, and surely if it was more tasteful would sell more. In the future could fans be involved with the designing of the shirts?
Some of you really have nothing better to do then slate the sponsor do you? its only a sponsor, both shirts look decent and theyre paying to have it on the front.. can't go wrong. Get back to supporting the team, not bitching about a ****ing sponsor
I remember a spray available to remove LEXTRA ( the name and numbers on the backs of shirts).....wonder if it will get the front logo off. Failing that maybe Cillit Bang will do
It's not the sponsor that people are objecting to, it's the lack of thought used in placing it on the shirt. You can't fail to have noticed that other people are saying that it would look so much better without the huge black background. Stop being a fanny and go back and read the majority of the posts.
