On the plus side, if the quality of the shirt is the same as last season, I should be able to just peel the sponsor off!

<ok> I agree, I'd like to know exactly how much 'swag R us' have pumped in to ruin the image of the club, hope it was well worth it.

That's awful. I see cash converters are getting their moneys worth though.

    The sponsor absolutely kills it.

    Decent shirt, awful sponsor.

Even if our sponsor was "Tiger Beer", or "Unicef", or some other more desirable sponsor, it would still look awful on a massive black sticker in the middle of the shirt. I would think about buying it, if the CashConverters logo was a little more discrete, like the Motherwell shirts. However, no way am I buying that. I'll just get some training/leisure wear this year instead.

It's absolutely appalling. The shiny shirt is bad enough but the sponsor is the ugliest in football history. It's worse than Wonga.

absolutely horrific, how any one can justify allowing that to happen I really don't know. Who ever has the job of approving the kit design needs handing their p45 because this is in my opinion one of the worst football shirts I have ever seen.

Let's see how it hits sales, I reckon there'll be plenty of 'won't sell for £10' bargains come next May

agreed. the frustrating thing is it all boils down to money. CC offered the most money and we went for it. It's funny really because if they went for a different sponsor that maybe didnt pay as much, they would have sold far more shirts and made up the money that way.

Lost for words at how bad that sponsor looks, it completely overpowers the shirt and our beloved club crest, your eye is drawn to the black monstrosity instantly.

We might aswell change our name to Cash Converters F.C.

    Disgrace. <grr>

The problem isn't just cash converters. As people keep pointing out, Motherwell's shirt looks fine with cash converters on it.

This is the worst kid combination I can recall as long as I've been supporting city. There are grassroots teams out there whose kits have more class about them than this. This isn't about cash converters or whatever financial restrictions are on the club - the sponsor could be anyone. In 2011 they should be doing better than an iron on patch.

http://www.cashconverters.co.uk/ look at their website there. Make the letters black and not maroon, that would have looked fine on the kit.

Think the 2007-2008 will be getting a second run out this season. How much longer are we with adidas for? I miss umbro. Even diadora didn't put this **** out.

I cant remember the last time so many of us were this disappointed over a sponsor. its design has totally ruined 2 perfectly good shirts.

we should all think of a way of venting our frustration to the club and let them know what a piss poor job they've done. if we can all see how ****e it looks, why havnt they ? who's bright idea was it to have a ****ing black box around the normal logo ?

I think the shirts sales will be quite indicative to be honest.

It's too shiny. Not a bad colour if it wasn't so bloody shiny. Sponsor sticks out like a sore thumb, but we'll just have to lump it. Could be worse, could be a pink shirt a la Everton.
