On the point of shelling out £9m for Andre Ward from Brentford.

I'm not suggesting we should be in for him but when Championship clubs are paying that much for Championship level players then it makes our spending all the more depressing.

Also look what Boro have spent and what they are prepare to spend.....with crowds like theirs how the hell can spend that cash...not as if Gibson is a multi-billionaire.

We should be spending more to ensure we stay in the league - that's for sure

However, we are totally screwed in paying for past failures in the transfer market which is totally shagging us

I have made this point previously but:

Charlie Austin is exactly what we need.

We sold Wickham 9m 40k a week
Sell Defoe 6m 60k a week

Offer Austin 100k a week and QPR 15m

It would keep us up which woukd be worth 80m plus.

Its simple business. Yes its a risk but its not as much of a risk as the other options.

Would love to see him here mate, can you tell your mate who knows short this please!

I can only think of players that have left in the last two or three years.

Ba for instance.

Which high earners have left since about 2012. Any before that their contract should have run out by now.

I can't believe we are paying ex players full wages.

My thoughts are that this is a smokescreen and anything we are paying to ex players would amount to less than about £20,000 per week in total.

I reckon it's like the FFP which we are told is stopping us spending although I don't see it affecting other clubs.

Risk! It's a massive risk and one we can't afford. In all honesty if anyone pays Austin £100k a week after outlying £15m for him is welcome to him as he isn't worth it.

Packet of crisps for him mate.. Let's look at the likes of Albion who spent 15 mill on some ****... Shortpenis wants to work this way then we will watch this fine club slide down the leagues.

Maybe Bristol City have been run better, maybe they're taking a risk, I don't know and don't care, I'm not going to let it depress me.
