i dont fancy our chances sadly, if there was a good time to play arsenal away it prob is now before they have found their form as season has only just started, so we have half a chance, but then we prob have the worst defence in the league <laugh> dont you ****ing dare point out we have kept 2 clean sheets as we all know our 2 cbs are ****e <ok>

im catch 22 to be honest, i ALWAYS want us to win, but i am getting to the point where i dont think brendan is going to take us forward, and the longer he is here and we keep covering up how clueless we are in games and just get lucky, the less and less chance we have of attracting any decent manager that is out there, we will have pullis take over from brendan at this rate <laugh>

That is too close to the truth to be funny.

Rodgers is not getting sacked this season. If he doesn't take us forward he won't be managing us next season.

So just support the team one game at a time and don't worry about it <cheers>

Arsenal's Ramsey (left) and Liverpool's Adam battle in midfield

LAST TIME LIVERPOOL WON AT THE EMIRATES
Liverpool struck twice late on to secure their first league win at Arsenal for 11 years and increase Arsene Wenger's troubles.
Arsenal - featuring Samir Nasri in the line-up with his proposed move to Manchester City on hold - held their own until impressive Emmanuel Frimpong was sent off with 20 minutes left.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish reacted by introducing Luis Suarez and Raul Meireles in what proved to be the decisive move, as the pair were involved in both goals.
They combined before youngster Ignasi Miquel, on for early injury victim Laurent Koscielny, saw a clearance deflect off Aaron Ramsey into his own net after 78 minutes and Suarez applied a simple finish from Meireles's pass in the dying seconds to wrap up Liverpool's first win of the season.

I can't make up my mind. In lawro thread I predicted a loss. Here I voted a draw.

Hopefully that means we will win.
I always go for us to win in the prediction league- no matter who we're playing.
That's because I've got my blind, sycophantic, biased head in the sand. Not easy with these rose-tinted glasses on.

Because I know I'm going to have to disappear in Oct/Nov for a while (whenever I lose my office and go back to cube) and so don't want to compete in a points based game because I would get left behind at that point on. <laugh>

You have a phone <whistle>

I would be surprised if we got anything out of this.

Arsenal away is one of those fixtures I am never confident of a win.

Its early days for our new team too.

Having said that Arsenal haven't looked great thus far and our defence has been quite good.

2-0 Arsenal

3 things matter

1. belief

2. work rate

3. matching arsenal for possesion

If we are going there thinking hmmm backs to the wall and sit off its only going to be a matter of time before we get beat.

Definitely in order of importance. I think it'd be suicide to just try and contain them.

have to target coquelin who looks cocky as **** right now... target where to get in thier faces and where not to.

I just feel gomez starting this one would be very risky but i think rodgers will do so. some games you portect the kid.

This fixture is always really hard to call: We could be in for a 4 nil thrashing, or we could be the ones dominating the match. Maybe Arsenal have taken up newcastles mantle when playing us or something? I always associate the fixture with goals being scored left right and centre and / or one side simply looking foolish come the end of the game...

For me, We will have a serious issue if Henderson does not play. When he came off against Bournemouth our side looked jaded and lacked leadership. I think Hendersons presence actually provides a lot more control behind the scenes than we think. He also knows how to pressurise the Arsenal midfield.

Need to play with a midfield 3 - a midfield 2 will get destroyed. Arsenal are too good in that area.
