Davies - Another solid display. No doubt he'll be dropped for jnr next week Dawson - Class act Akpom - Looked dangerous but a bit greedy
It was surely bad judgement to keep McGregor and release Harper. Players who do well should be rewarded those who don't should be released. We sometimes seem to do the opposite.
The fact Harper hasn't signed for anyone else (unless I've missed something) suggests he wanted to retire anyway.
1. Akpom - He looked raw against Huddersfield, but today he looked like our only threat at times. Turns so effortlessly, should have been less greedy at times and should have got 3 in 3. (Surprised he didn't take the penalty, but no one argues with Jelavic, not even Bruce) 2. Davies - In the first 10 seconds he misjudged the pace of the ball back to McGregor just as much as Clucas did when he made it, should have had it easily but stood still. Over than that he was brilliant, welcome back Curtis Davies of old... 3. Meyler - Changed the game when he came on for Hayden, he might have only been on for less than 40 minutes but he did very well, Championship definitely is his level.
Harper tweeted that he is working for Five live on Wednesday night for the Fulham game, someone tweeted back saying can you bring your gloves
My stream buffered a bit, but from what I saw, plus the commentary - Dawson, Davies and Akpom are equal tops.
Davies Dawson Akpom Elmo was hurrendous, Moses had a good go, Aluko was good when he came on, brought CJM a bit too late on for me, maybe should have given Luer a chance seen as his confidence is up?
