I'm sensing anger, Tommo.

Yes, Spurs are always a surprise to me, too.

Mind you, Poch did outwit every so-called "professional" punter, last season, by finishing above 'Pool.

Also, he proved a lot of you boys wrong, too, by finishing above Saints. Us Spurs fans had to suffer quite a few of you coming over to our board and taking a few liberties. But that's all water under the bridge, now. I don't believe in tit-for-tat retaliations, it's juvenile. I was one of your biggest supporters on the Spurs board, ask any of the lads over there. As an outsider, I want to get to where you guys are, right now.

I don't really think Potch proving some saints fans wrong, i.e. by Spurs finishing above us was a real upset. It wouldn't have bee unexpected among many experts though credit to him all the same. A prediction of Potch failing would be more due to the natural desire of fans from his former club for him to do badly. A fair assessment would be he did well, though not exceptional compared to expectations and the real surprise was how close we were to Spurs at the end of the season.

As for the has the bubble burst comment; that honestly must have been a bit tongue in cheek :) After 2 games its hardly the time to ask and any suggestion that the Everton win was totally against all expectations is a bit disrespectful to them.

Time will tell and although we're unlikely to occupy the dizzy heights of the top 4 for half a season this time round or keep finishing higher each season, as we have over the last 5 years, I trust that the Saints structure should be sturdy enough to keep us there or there abouts.

You got me! Yes, it was.

I was only trying to start a bit of banter to lighten the atmosphere.

I expect you to bounce back from this. Koeman is too decent a manager to let this home loss get to the players.

Nah mate, just some Hogs 3 overcoming my inbuilt filter. Truth is i don't really give a **** about spurs. I have a dislike of the snake you call a manager but i just cant bring myself to care about the rest of your clubs existence.....like the mushrooms on my bathmat you're just kinda there, not serving any purpose but not hurting anyone either.

That was a thumping, you just suffered, at home, against Everton. Last season, you would have pissed all over them, especially at home. That's got to be a real worry to you.

Fair enough, a point away at The Toon, last week, was a great result. But it only makes this result that more alarming.

So, has the bubble burst? Or is it still early days?

No wumming, please.

Most of the boards I visit I have to, as it's the only way of my guaranteeing a sensible response.

By the way, a heads' up, lads... Steer well clear of the Sunderland board, today. It's getting messy over there.

There's a lot of good humour on that board if you look closely enough.

All I would say to the Saints lads is chin up and look at us, there's always somebody worse off <laugh>

I do not doubt you, my friend.

I know, from personal experience, that when the chips are down, the last thing that some fans want is some twat chirping up with a whole load of banter!

I think if I were to pop onto your board now, with my style of "in yer face" banter, some of your lads would go into spasm and begin foaming at the mouth!
<laugh>

Oh god, you actually think that your impression of wit and your 'banter' are actually funny?

That's more worrying than any porous north-East defence...

Wouldn't you <laugh>

You can get upset and angry which will spoil your day, or you can just laugh at it and get through the day!

I know it's probably a male thing - but why do people insist on responding to idiots like the original poster who clearly get their sad little jollies out of trying to provoke people?

It's a valiant but ultimately failing attempt to point out that he's being an arse. Agreed though, it's pointless. I'll desist (though it does worry me that I genuinely thinks of himself as a wit).
