That was a thumping, you just suffered, at home, against Everton. Last season, you would have pissed all over them, especially at home. That's got to be a real worry to you.

Fair enough, a point away at The Toon, last week, was a great result. But it only makes this result that more alarming.

So, has the bubble burst? Or is it still early days?

No wumming, please.

... its more of a blip.

I truly hope so. Last season, I had you down as my "surprise" team. Funnily enough, I have Bournemouth down as this season's surprise team.

Part of the problem is going to be that, last season, you had such a fantastic and unexpected season, getting caught up in an early relegation battle could be extremely damaging. Morale could drop in the squad, the manager could come under early pressure from the board, etc.

I think your next game is going to be very important.

Who the **** are you and dont you have anything better to do than hang about other teams forums?

I don't exactly "hang about" on this forum, Tommomo.

I kinda adopted Saints as my "would like to see these boys fly" team, last season, and I'd be well upset if you let it all go to pot this season.

By the way, the correct spelling is: T-O-M-O-R-R-O-W.
<ok>

Well, given that our first choice goal keeper has a long term injury, we've basically got 2 CBs because Alderweireld is now at Spurs and Gardos has a long term injury, our first choice left back had an operation and is currently out because of that and our first choice right back has only played 2 premier league games since we sold Clyne and we sold Schneiderlin, I would say the defense being a bit unsettled is a given.

It will get better as they settle and we get Bertrand back and hopefully we've learned to play Romeu now because that gave us more defensive sturdiness.

Not too worried about the attack either since they had opportunities today, and would have scored some of those on another day. No point beating yourself up over every missed chance.

I have Tottenham down as my surprise team every season. As in, I'll be surprised if they don't disappoint their mostly deluded supporters yet again.

Yes, Spurs are always a surprise to me, too.

Mind you, Poch did outwit every so-called "professional" punter, last season, by finishing above 'Pool.

Also, he proved a lot of you boys wrong, too, by finishing above Saints. Us Spurs fans had to suffer quite a few of you coming over to our board and taking a few liberties. But that's all water under the bridge, now. I don't believe in tit-for-tat retaliations, it's juvenile. I was one of your biggest supporters on the Spurs board, ask any of the lads over there. As an outsider, I want to get to where you guys are, right now.

Absolutely nobody thought Spurs would finish below Southampton last year, certainly at the start of the season. Don't be daft.

Well, we have precisely the same amount of points after two games this season as we did after two games last season...
Not that you deserve a reply because you're clearly on the wind up.

True, few people thought that, and most of what went on was banter.

Banter is so important, especially when things don't go well for you. I relied on banter a lot, last season.

Banter is another word for being utterly tedious and witless.

Anyhow, as I said, you'll find what people think in the match thread if you are actually interested. Otherwise, haven't you got a stream to find of your own club? I believe you're winning.
