Did you bother to read that statement? there's a in it that you seem to have ignored "The player and the referee are the initial judges'...........

"Video footage, however, showed that in the moments before the Chelsea medical staff ran on to the pitch, referee Michael Oliver twice turned to the bench after Hazard went down and signalled for the pair to come on."

The article above suggests that video footage showed that in the moments before the Chelsea medical staff ran on to the pitch, referee Michael Oliver twice turned to the bench after Hazard went down and signalled for the pair to come on.

So the referee was concerned for the players welfare, the medical staff were concerned for the players welfare - and Jose Mourinho didn't give a **** for the players welfare.

I didn't see that link until I posted the reply above mate, otherwise I would have replied including what was on it

Only because she was standing waiting to come on.
But the argument still stands, it's been done in a calculated way to deflect criticism away from his players, as it always is. Mourinho doesn't give 2 ****s who the flak falls on publicly, as long as it isn't his team, and would he if it works? What he says behind closed doors to players remains there, he's won 8 championships in 13 years across 4 leagues doing it that way, it would be utter stupidity to change.

Firstly, she wasn't standing there, waiting to come on. Have a look at the video footage.
Secondly, it's totally unacceptable to publicly humiliate an employee of your own company (who is doing a very good job) in order to deflect criticism for the failings of yourself or another employee.

Mourinho should be brought to book by the FA and FORCED to publicly apologise to the Chelsea medical team.

Football managers do it to their players all the time, I remember Hull being made to have their half-time team talk on the pitch, the only reason people are crying so much is because it's Mourinho, success always breeds jealousy. And what did he do exactly that was soooo humiliating? Did I totally miss something? did he pull her pants down live on TV? or did he call her a little naive? Seriously, the amount of fuss being made over it really goes to show how pathetic people are. You're probably making more fuss over this than you did over Jimmy Saville.

The only person who would humiliate someone like this is Maureen, it's not because he's been successful that people are criticising him, it's the fact that he has put this woman in an impossible situation, she has a professional obligation to give help to players on the pitch, if she refuses to do so she could lose her licence.

Maureen is putting results above the safety of players, his first obligation should be his players, if some of these players are trying to cheat then it is down to him to sort.

Hazzard is the problem here, he is a cheat, and has caused all this furore by being a deceitful player, he was the one who went to ground, he was the who pretended to be injured, he was the one trying to get someone booked.

By you defending Maureen it actually shows how far out of touch you are, I can see most Chelsea on their forum are condemning him, so Chelsea fans can see who is at fault here

I'm not exactly defending him, I find him funny and think the EPL would be poorer without him, if only for the comedy value things like this provide. It's a typhoon in a thimble, it's quite pathetic the furore it's caused considering all he did was call someone 'naive and impetuous', especially when their retort on twitter shows them to be exactly that (that might cost her her job, digging at her boss on social media, very impetuous and naive). what I'm doing is giving the reasons why he does it, and you have hit the nail on the head in the middle of your post.

And why isn't one of Chelsea's star players getting the **** for it? because Mourinho has deflected it all onto himself.
As per usual.

Well he doesn't from me, he is responsible for this little mess, just like the ball boy incident a couple of years ago. This player is getting a reputation of being deceitful the same as Maureen is getting flak here

Also this doctor was called on by the ref, what is she supposed to do? As for her outburst on Facebook, well that is maybe a mistake, but she wouldn't be the first to put stuff on social media that blows up in their faces

there was only one person who humiliated Chelsea and that was Mouriniho himself . His poor form has got to him and as he thinks he is never wrong then he is blaming anyone and everyone. He is becoming the clown of the premiership and everyone is laughing at him and his bizarre antics... There is no way he will win the premiership if he dont grow up and accept it is his fault for the poor run of form.....The Doctor was rightly doing her job....

If I remember correctly she want even first on the pitch - wasnt the physio guy on there already?
It's turned into a PR howler and suggests that he is getting really uptight about life at the moment. He needs to relax a bit, I suggest he goes for a pint with Dai at the Royal Oak in Penclawdd - Swansea's only drive through pub :emoticon-0100-smile

As far as the Dr goes, he's right, she did act rather naively, surely it's up to the referee to bring on the physio. It's his prerogative to remove her from the bench, if he sees fit. And, once again, it has completely removed the team from the criticism and placed all the flak on Mourinho's shoulders.
As to the reaction of opposing fans, you would think she'd been flogged to death, but she hasn't been 'sacked' at all, like most are trying to suggest, she's still employed by Chelsea in the same position she was in, she's just no longer on the bench. Her income hasn't been affected one bit.

Football isn't a popularity contest, it's about winning football matches and all the statistics say he's one of the best at it. Take a look at his history, he's always been like it, and it works for him, it's made him probably the greatest club manager of all time, he would be mad to change it.

Big Ern, come on

Firstly the ref did call her onto the field of play. Are you suggesting that medical staff then look to their manager to get the nod before they go on?

Secondly, I can't believe your glibly defending Morihno by saying, 'its not so bad, she wasn't flogged to death'. No she hasn't been flogged or beaten so we should ll smile and say, well there you go, she's still alive so all is well.

Mate, your ignoring what actually did happen. Morinho, ridiculed a professional associate, called her naive, questioned her intelligence and character on LIVE TV to tens of millions of people watching which was repeatedly reported in the press to tens of millions more.

Her career is now tainted as well as her professional reputation. She will forever have to answer to the accusation of being that naive girl who skipped onto the pitch without permission. She shouldn't have to defend that for the rest of her professional life or are you i disagreement Beg Ern?

According to you though, all Morinho did was deflect attention away from a poor performance by his team, no harm there then? Would you be defending Sam Allerdyce, Alan Pardew or Mark Hughes (read the full list of prem managers here) for doing the same. Allardyce would be ridiculed as old school, sexist and expected to resign, Pardew would be expected to attend an anger management course and would be banned from the bench and Sparkey would be expected to attend over 100 hrs community service, and Morinho well, its ok, he's the special one.

I'm not questioning Morinhos credentials Big Ern so there was no need for a history lesson. All I have said is that I believe he is under pressure and this pressure manifest itself in him lashing out in an uncontrolled and spontaneous rant on live TV. There was no hiding behind veiled innuendo as usuall and there was no 'joke' in his response.

Nothing suggests he deflected anything away from his team, its you who continue stretching that myth Big Ern. On the contrary, Morinho instead of deflecting attention has effectively drawn a spotlight onto Chelsea and a search light onto himself. He and his team are under far more pressure through scrutiny than they would have been if he came out and said,

'It was an exciting game, we were off the pace today and not at our best but this will be addressed in training' I doubt his team would be facing the scrutiny and pressure they are now simply because the special one messed up. Do you still seriously believe that deflection was Morinhos intention Big Ern?

I'm just failing to see why calling a physio "impulsive and naive" and saying she 'doesn't understand the game' is such an heinous crime considering her profession is medical. He hasn't once called her abilities as a medic into question, just her understanding of the game. The amount of vitriol he is receiving is a joke, it's simply because he's Mourinho. I'm not seeing half as much **** being given to Vardy for his drunken racism, and, as a hammer, I'm surprised I havn't seen one thread about Sakho being arrested for assaulting a woman.
But then again, they aren't Mourinho

What understanding is there to be had, player goes to ground, ref looks over to bench and indicates that the medical staff is to attend the player. Doctor runs on pitch to do that. If she doesn't then she would be at risk of losing her licence.

When she runs on the pitch Maureen completely loses the plot and dances around out of control. Then some time later he calls her naive on camera and basically questions her professionalism in front of millions of people in an interview.

If she has no understanding of the game, why does he have her anywhere near the bench in the first place. So he has to be to blame for her going on the pitch.

The only explanation for Jose's outburst other than being an out and out bellend is that he had told Hazard to go down 'faking' injury to time waste. The man is a pig, and I'd be happy to see him leave the PL.

he doesn't anymore does he, he doesn't have Jon fearn there either, although you seem to have completely ignored the 'humiliation' he received. Double standards much?
