After reporting Borini was a done deal at Fiorentina, seems personal terms can't be agreed and ........... Sunderland are interested again ... in a loan deal ...

Nope, you're confused with what I said - my beef is that Mario wasn't used properly i.e. played without a supporting striker.

Agree that we shouldn't have bought him in the first place.

Don't care that Milner is a professional everyday - he's a squad player, dime a dozen. He's not a match winner and he will only ever succeed when he has specialists or quality players around him.

By your logic, you only want players who work hard in training every day. Which means you wouldn't have at least 50% of the top class players in world football.

Zlatan, David Silva, Robben, Ribery, Tevez, Lavezzi, Yaya Toure are all poor trainers and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

My view and i think the VAST majority on here was you wanted him given a go up front... sure in a pair of players but you wanted him to get a go.

I'm saying not one iota of him deserved a run in the team.

Your opinion of milner is a joke... there i said it.

I can gaurentee you that of that list you've posted only TWO (Zlatan and ribery) are total ****s. you have not got a clue mate... really you don't.

real players sacrifice and give their all... jokes like balotelli are so unprofessional.

Milner deserves his role as our CM and his vice captaincy as he works bloody hard for it.

  5. Doesn't that apply to Mario too...?

But if you're not being picked then surely you have to work hard and force the managers hand into playing you? you can't just expect to be picked.

Those you mention (bull **** on Tevez and Lavezzi btw) all do it on the pitch, all in quality and some with work rate too.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, 25, will reject the chance to join Lazio and Sampdoria on loan as he is due a six-figure loyalty bonus if he is still at Anfield when the transfer window closes. (Daily Mirror)
Everton want Dynamo Moscow's former Manchester United left-back Alexander Buttner, 26, as a replacement for injured Leighton Baines. (Daily Mail)

He was given a go but he was used incorrectly and we didn't get the best out of him. I wanted us to give him more chances in a 2 because that's when he played far better and our attack looked better.

Not disputing that Milner doesn't work hard - he is very hard working and is a professional. But don't make him out to be some world class player because he's not. He's a good squad player - nothing more, nothing less.

You can't guarantee anything - Jovetic even came out this week about how Silva and Yaya are incredibly lazy in training. So like I said, whilst we all want players who are professional and work hard all the time, reality is there are a lot of top class players who simply don't.

And you also want to talk about being a top professional - yet the club feel the need to leak info to the media about these incidents - at the start of the next season!! People at the top of this club are hardly professional themselves.

For such a disruptive and hated figure, he seems quite popular at the club.

In funnier news - MArio is in line to receive loyalty bonus is he stays. That would make my day ...

Not disputing what they do on the pitch - I'm talking about training.

I think the point Gerrez is trying to make is, that they might be lazy trainers but still deliver on the pitch. I don't think most fans would care if Mario turned up to training wearing a duvet, if he was banging in 25 goals a season.

  10. Exactly!

And see blue bit too, players have to earn the right to play. If they're not playing, how do they do that? In training of course.

I do not understand why players do not want to go when their clubs are no longer interested in them.
If it's them that want to leave they move mountain.

Jimmy only sees what Jimmy wants to see.

Mad Mario did not know the name of some of his first 11 team mates...

Mario dexcited to **** around and score into his own net and laugh about it in training

Mario interrupted the assistant manager to holler at Flanagan on crutches as a joke.

And the list goes on And on

That's being disruptive and a bad influence yet Jimmy wants to tar lots of other pros who would not dream of doing the same with the same brush to excuse it....

All cos I said jame milner is a model pro and Jimmy doesn't like the guy.

I say give yourself 10mil before replying and think about this stuff. You need to.

    Short term ism.

I don't get why agents are not more eager to do deals as every time a player moves they rake it in.

And I suggest you take 10 mins and actually read what I wrote - I'm not disputing that Mario is a disruptive influence and I rather we sell him now to avoid this circus continuing.

I'm merely questioning why this info was leaked now and not at the time.

Milner is a model professional - again, I agree with you! But that's not to say he's a top player so I should kiss his a*se.

And this is not a Miner vs Mario debate - I've always said that I want players who have ability first and foremost, attitude/work rate second. .

Got you, misread your previous point.

And I ultimately agree with you - I'm just saying how it is. In reality, a lot of top players don't train hard. Do I agree with it - nope.

I think he was very close to leaving in January but Rodgers pulled the plug on the deal.

You can't build a team out of a collection of talented footballers who have BA and don't work hard enough. You'd end up with a collection of half arsed prima donas if you were at the helm mate.

Rumour has it that Balotelli is refusing to move this transfer window as he is due a 6 figure loyalty bonus if he is still with us when the window shuts. I'd pay him the bonus if he agreed to go just to save his wages.
