Bet of the year. Tiger Woods to miss the cut. 11-8. Can't believe this isn't odds on. Mentally gone in the Majors now and missed the cut by a mile in 3 of the last 4 majors.

Why not follow your favourite trainer in this - odds are very good @ 25/1 - it should be exciting up to 3.55

Morning, troops. Cor blimey the daily thread’s gone a bit golfy hasn’t it! That’s hardly cricket. Although in saying that I don’t mind the odd round or two. I do however always have a bit of trouble when it comes to the hole where you have to get the ball under the blades of the windmill. Fiendishly, and I do mean fiendishly, difficult that one.

My eyes are drawn to one running at Bath this eve (6.20) but I’m not going to wager as I’m only guessing about him and am in no ways certain. However, have a look at him and make your own mind up. Neil ‘Mullers’ Mulholland inherited Vexillum earlier in the summer and he ran a race full of promise, on his stable debut, just going down at Wincanton (form subsequently upheld as the winner has gone close in his only run since and the 3rd home has gone on to win twice). Vexillum seemingly though hasn’t gone forward as his next 2 runs saw him finish 6th, over sticks, and then 6th again when returned to the level. Hardly inspiring form this couple of efforts. That last run though was over a mile, which seemed ridiculously short, but tonight the old boy is stepped up by a whopping 9 furlongs to a much more suitable looking trip (Vexillum’s 3 wins have been over 13, 14 and 17 furlongs). Also runs off just 46 an he has in the past been successful off 64. It is though too much of a guess, and too many ‘maybe’s’ are involved for me to have an each-way bet but there will be a lot worse 25/1 punts than this around this term I will say that.

I do plan to wear my wagering waistcoat on Saturday although must add that given the amount of rain the South of this EU member state is forecast to get, over the next 60 hours, nothing can be certain re the horses participation.

Good luck to the wagerers today.

Sir Barney - could I persuade you to use your known influence and reserve the top , and I say very top , table for the Not606 club ? The thought of having an obscured view of the great man at such an august event cannot be contemplated .. what can you do for us mere mortals ?

3:35 Beverley - THATCHERITE will never get a better pace to aim at with the likes of Hoofalong, Even Stevens, winforpower and Pear noir in the race.

Ekbalco, unfortunately the ‘top table’ has already been snapped up. Sold quicker than a ticket to Glastonbury apparently. The likes of Mr Ponsonby, both Mr Waley-Cohen’s, the lovely Ems Spencer, Rich Ricci, Andy Tinkles and Her Majesty, God bless her and save her, have all already paid their dough to secure the best seats.

7.50 Bath STORYTALE. 3-1. No apparent form in the Spring. Spencers only ride tonight. Been very well backed. Taking the hint. Win Bet.

Seeing as it's a freebie, if it was me I'd take a chance on Forte @ 40/1 ew.

had me a piece of 36.0 for Adam Scott in his final major with the long putter, with the big prices on Mickelson (85) and Schwartzel (140.0) who both have shown glimpses in recent majors that they may yet put a top class 72 hole performance.

2 from 3 including a Group 3 as a 2yo, with the Oaks 2nd and Blandford winner 6L behind, dodgepot from day 1

My Titania has obviously been a massive letdown since then but its not her fault she was hyped, by none more so than myself. Shes obviously had problems and been difficult to train but has shown she is a decent filly in her own right the few times she has made it to the track. 4rth in the Coronation first time out after injury against race fit opponents, a few of them very decent, certainly in the context of this race tonight. Beat half a length in a Group 2 on her only other run as a 3yo. Oxx said before her first run this season she was behind and the race was going to be soon enough, she was very fresh and keen all the way, showed a brief glimpse of what she can do then flattened out quickly and wasnt given a hard time.

She looks a good bet to me tonight at 9/2, easiest race she has ran in and the best price she has ever been, I think she will reward their patience tonight, assuming they have had a clear run since her last race. She beat the favourite easily as a 2yo and if she was the filly I thought she was going to be id have her 9/2 on in this listed race. I seen enough spark last time to give her a chance in this field and you never know, just look at Amazing Maria. There could be another crack at a big prize if they can get a run with her.

That's ok if you stopped following her after her 2 yo campaign. Beaten each run since, heavily backed each run, sent off twice as jolly and the other as second jolly. Last chance saloon tonight I think you'd agree...

And what has Amazing Maria to do with anything? Has the horse been moved to O'Meara or what?

I have two bets running today Stick and my first is in that race In Proverdence.

I fear Chain of Daisies being given a soft lead but I think Preverdence may be a little above the rest of these in class. I think the favourite Suffused is too short.

My other bet today is Peterhouse in the 4.40 at Beverley.

Good luck with your free bet wherever it ends up.

Only just reading that Kevin Ryan's Astaire lost his battle with colic on Sunday. Very useful sprinter on his day. R.I.P. Big hole left at the yard.

In the interest of NOT aftertiming I have plumped for CHAIN OF DAISIES. Form looks to be holding up pretty nicely though any of the 3yo's could still be open to serious improvement.

What was that about a 3yo open to serious improvement. Nice confident ride Rab, lets see another one on Saturday!

Anyone got any thoughts on the 7pm at Gowran Park? I currently have a £1K double on He's Our Man with Pearl Noir (already won at 18-1). Thinking of covering my bet with one on Smullens ride Sierra Sun but the more I look at this race I can see others winning. Hope my original thoughts on He's Our Man (7-1) will prove correct as he had a great run at Galway last time out.

If your on Always Managing in the 4.15 at Newton Abbott you should get the result reversed as would have won. Severe interference.
