Morning, troops. Cor blimey the daily thread’s gone a bit golfy hasn’t it! That’s hardly cricket. Although in saying that I don’t mind the odd round or two. I do however always have a bit of trouble when it comes to the hole where you have to get the ball under the blades of the windmill. Fiendishly, and I do mean fiendishly, difficult that one.
My eyes are drawn to one running at Bath this eve (6.20) but I’m not going to wager as I’m only guessing about him and am in no ways certain. However, have a look at him and make your own mind up. Neil ‘Mullers’ Mulholland inherited Vexillum earlier in the summer and he ran a race full of promise, on his stable debut, just going down at Wincanton (form subsequently upheld as the winner has gone close in his only run since and the 3rd home has gone on to win twice). Vexillum seemingly though hasn’t gone forward as his next 2 runs saw him finish 6th, over sticks, and then 6th again when returned to the level. Hardly inspiring form this couple of efforts. That last run though was over a mile, which seemed ridiculously short, but tonight the old boy is stepped up by a whopping 9 furlongs to a much more suitable looking trip (Vexillum’s 3 wins have been over 13, 14 and 17 furlongs). Also runs off just 46 an he has in the past been successful off 64. It is though too much of a guess, and too many ‘maybe’s’ are involved for me to have an each-way bet but there will be a lot worse 25/1 punts than this around this term I will say that.
I do plan to wear my wagering waistcoat on Saturday although must add that given the amount of rain the South of this EU member state is forecast to get, over the next 60 hours, nothing can be certain re the horses participation.
Good luck to the wagerers today.
