I still don't know what the club are playing at. There's only three whole weeks of the window left.... :)

And some people were moaning. Now we are potentially a signing or loan deal away from a pretty sexy looking squad.

Guan's posts don't seem that cryptic to me.

There are players (most likely 2) that Saints are signing, and Guan was going to post about it. It sounds like all the fees and terms are in place contingent upon passing a medical. But then Guan was told not to open his trap until the players have had their medicals. Therefore, he's been silent after promising us more information.

And at this point he can't say who is coming, but that was his way of letting us know we have deals in place.

And he posted all this on the VVD thread which reading between the lines is a big hint

When seagulls follow the trawler it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

That's all I am allowed to say for now...

When I first heard Cantona give out that remark it was the best I ever thought of him. Usually I believed him to be an arrogant prick, but even arrogant pricks can come out with the odd superb line, and his appraisal of the feverish media and their lust for anything newsy was perfectly appropriate. Of course, the found-out media regarded his words as stupid and/of baffling, which was the most elevated reaction they could muster. :)

I envy them. :( Although I'm happy with our business in the transfer market so far, I do think we could do with a coup signing like Shaquiri, Ayew, Payet or Cabaye.

Shaqiri actually needs to play well to be considered a coup. He hardly played for Inter and Bayern. If he can play like he did at Basel then it would be a coup.
