  1. Lynching
    Crime type
  2. Lynching is an extrajudicial punishment by an informal group. It is most often used to characterize informal public executions by a mob, often by hanging, in order to punish an alleged transgressor, or to intimidate a minority group. Wikipedia
lynch
[linch]
Spell Syllables
verb (used with object)
1.
to put to death, especially by hanging, by mob action and without legalauthority.

Hardly a pigging lynching was it. Just me there. Something good on the telly was there? Whatever happened to the camaraderie we used to have? The good times when most of the town came out and joined in. Whatever happened to community spirit?

Someone would bring the rope. Someone else would bring the drink. A few people would bring stones along. Now you can't even get a good group of people to join in a good old fashioned vigilante killing.

I know we got some wrong, well most wrong, but we did get a few right. It's not the same anymore just doing it myself. Might not bother tomorrow...:emoticon-0101-sadsm

So we're looking for someone who doesn't like golf?

It was a risky move voting for anyone tonight with no info, but if it's an inactive player then not so bad as it could have been. Very surprised the SK struck. Not exactly a great start!

Almost as bad as having an election with only one candidate!!

Sorry lads not been around much today but I'll be back online tomorrow so can contribute a bit more.

Lynched with only 1 person, must be some new record <laugh>

I thought we were supposed to be splitting the Town vote between each action?

Splitting equally that is.

I know.

There's more than 3 people in the frigging Town.

I knew Sky Football at the local Pub would be bad news for organising a lynch mob!!

I thought the plan was to split it between investigating and hiding. I can see the point in trying to draw out the quiet ones though by voting. Now we need to decide what to do about investigation results. Do we make them public?

Don't ask me I was busy freezing my b***s off. I don't have an investigation result to share. Even if I did no-one would turn up to share it.

You risk everything to give a Town a cracking football team. The net spend exceeding all other teams but do people turn up on a cold night in August to support the team. No sirree. No Sky Football's on the telly in the Pub and you can get a drink and it's nice and warm. Don't deserve it.

Did you investigate anyone?

I think we need agreement on what to do with the results first. My own view is that there is little to lose in making all investigation results public. There are only two teams and no special investigation roles to be killed off. The only possible downside is giving a clue who cannot hide the next night. For me the positives outweigh the negatives though.
