The goons will go on a long unbeaten run once the team settles and Sanchez is back to fitness, they have that in them but Utd and goons are going to battle for 3rd/4th while City and Chelsea battle for 1st/2nd, not sure what any gooner actually believed? as even if they hammered west ham today, their season will still be much the same which is no real title challenge and dumped out of the champions league but they may win a cup. And yes, that is a season we would view as a success, but for the goons I can understand why some of their fans are downbeat, as they aren't progressing and they can't move to a higher level in terms of league titles or winning the CL. Wenger I respect as a manager, but he has to move on at some point and accept the days of winning major titles are behind him.
We all moaned about RM selling Ozil to the Goons, but maybe we should be happy that they fleeced them for lots of money for someone who doesn't really fit in. They don't usually sell players on who are still useful to them.
Because you helped to create a board where people could have discussions worth taking part in on a range of often unlikely subjects. Thanks.
You're keeping Charlie Adam out of the drop zone, and for that reason alone you are the sperm of the devil!
Spurs U21 v Bradford: Shaky first half, but the (old) youngsters turned it on in the second. A sixteen minute hat-trick by Nathan Byrne, who has been converted into a winger, topped off by a Jonathan Obika tap-in to win 4-1. Lots of rumours about the former moving on and triggering his sell-on clause.
Former Spurs v Spursless Sounders: Keane and Dos Santos put away a Dempsey-less Seattle, who's injured at the moment.
Joey Barton's on the verge of joining West Ham, apparently. Yes, that's the same Joey Barton who David Gold called vile, suggested that he needed mental help and that he'd give Allardyce some time off if he tried to sign him. Wonder what he'll say about him if it goes through?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ng-he-has-a-problem-and-should-seek-help.html I'm forever grateful that we don't have anyone high up at the club that mouths off on Twitter(directed at both Gold and Barton) it achieves nothing and can only cause problems down the line.
One of the few aspects I can agree with how the club is run, the banning of twitter/social media as a way to react but I must also praise Harry Redknapp for finding the confidence to sign up to Twitter and offer his views in a polite and calm manner, If only every other Twitter user done things the Redknapp way.
West Brom V City tonight, Tony Pulis gets the chance to start the season in charge of a new premier league team after leaving Stoke (and the resigning from Palace before the season started). I like the look of his squad as he has signed players with premier league experience, he has a system and waits for the right player to be available and signs that player for a specific reason. Last season West Brom kept 14 clean sheets and Brunt had 10 assists, impressive return. We only kept 8 clean sheets and Eriksen only managed 4 assists. Brunt is one of them underrated players that could have played for a bigger club.
Harry always seems to have something good to say about everyone so he's never going to be a problem on Twitter. Not sure how he manages to even use Twitter though, he's not the most tech-savvy by his own admission. Maybe he has Sandra or his agent do the actual stuff on the computer for him. My parents are a similar age and I doubt they'd be able to work out Twitter. I got them a SatNav for Christmas a few years back only to find out a few years later that they'd been using it on silent(they set this by accident, I think) with my Mum sat holding it in the passenger seat reading out the directions to my Dad as they came up Not sure where I was going with that story but there it is. Now back to rival watch...
Harry's twitter comments are what they call ghost written. I don't know anything about how twitter works, but as I understand it, some guy phones him up and they agree what will be said on Harry's behalf.
I have to admit I didn't think you'd find your way clear of the pack so early in the season. Brunt is underrated, no doubt, but last year was the year when everyone screwed up the great chances Eriksen created for them. He was in the top five for chances created in the league, or thereabouts, and had ten assists the year before last, but you could do a sad comedy reel of the way everyone failed to convert great chances Eriksen provided last year.
My only issue with Eriksen is his day dreaming. Vision, creativity, spectacular goals. he has so much natural ability and he should be scoring 10-12 goals while also assisting 10-12 goals, but yes, the comedy reel of misses says more about other players then it does him.
So I decided to check out what he's been Tweeting and straight away I find this: Which lead to me Googling, rather riskily, "Harry Redknapp shagging" to find out what he was on about. Anyway, this is the context so no one else has to have that Google search in their history: I bet they had a right laugh discussing how to word the above Tweet
