I wish the media would stop calling Odubajo a right-back. He's a winger. He plays best on the right-wing using his pace to beat full-backs, not playing as one. It's like saying West Brom signed defensive midfielder James Chester because he played there a few times due to injuries. We're not signing another right-back. I repeat, he's a winger.
He's both. He started his career at Orient at right back before Russell Slade pushed him forward and turned him into a winger. It's nothing like Chester, who played at DM like 3 times. Odubajo just spent half a season playing as a RB and played numerous games there for Orient. We'll probably use him where he's needed, which will probably be on the wing, but if he does sign don't be surprised to see him feature at RB a few times.
I thought so too, he perhaps has enough to play wing/back. Seemed to be doing just that in one of the pre-season games I saw (on telly mind). Someone else is saying earlier that O....jo is not a fullback/wing-back & that the press is getting it wrong. I've never seen him, and my good mate, an ex-Brentford player over here & still a supporter of the Bees, says he's no idea what he's like. Suppose we need to trust in Brucie ( heaven forbid - didn't mean that Steve).
Just to confuse foreigners none of the London football teams actually have "London" in their names. Most people I meet overseas who say they are Chelsea or Arsenal supporters had no idea they are based in London
Most of the Chelsea and Arsenal supporters I meet think London is based in Chelsea or Woolwich. Particularly the London based fans.
Eh? Arsenal moved from Woolwich long ago. I was talking about people who have no connection with England.
Yea I know where most of the teams in the top 2 levels play. Not that I would want to go to London to watch the ones there. I saw that Sweeny Todd documentary. Londons a complete **** hole, can't even get a shave without someone trying to cut your throat. I'll stick to civilized places like Hull.
No kidding. I was talking about England based ( particularly London based) Chelsea & Arsenal supporters. Go figure.
United are unlikely to sell one of only two senior strikers they have surely? The same reason they won't sell him to the Hammers.
An MLS team was going to buy him but ManU wanted to much money. I think it was Orlando, they wanted like $25 mill for him if memory serves me. It's just a reporter being an ass to Chicago fans for no reason.
