Ramos playing other teams off his current team to get a better deal isn't new, its been done to all teams one time or another...
DdG could get you 20m+, even with one year left..
Keep him for another year, when the player may not want to be there and lose him for nothing doesn't make football or business sense!

How many players would purposely hinder their team? Besides it being an act of gross misconduct and a breach of contract, it would have serious implications within the players union as well.

Equally, if he did, United would be well within our rights to refuse to sell him and place him in the reserves. With it being the euros next summer, I suspect De Gea will want to play, so he will perform.

Did they? You should probably read the Spanish press. The ones who claim Ramos has agreed a new deal and was presented last night.... Except Ramos knew nothing of it and expressed his desire to leave once again.

But yeh, Madrid hold all the cards...

Never said he'd bung it in his own goal.. just you'll be able to tell by his body language..
Perfect example, Suarez in his final year, still gave 100%, Sterling in his last 6 months, couldn't give a ****..

Wow. £20million. I don't think the club is arsed. De Gea being here more than compensates for that £20million.

We will have to lose him on a free then.

He will be as good as every. You do realise he has friends within the team and that there's euro 16 next summer don't you?

What good would performing below his best do him?

The Glazers would allow an asset that valuable to leave for nowt? Fair enough.... BUT my knowledge of them and how they handle their NFL team, they don't come across as people that would look a 20m gift horse in the mouth!

He's an Atletico son. The Madrid fans are not bothered. They are very angry about how Casillas was dumped and how Bale is Perez favourite though .

Perez won't be Madrid president soon anyway. He's despised in Madrid.

In reality they tried to unsettle one of our players so we did the same with one of theirs. From Ramos's latest stance it seems we have done a better job of it (the fat waiter being there has probably helped) so they may think twice before trying again.

Sure mate, they won't be arsed at losing an asset worth more than 5% of their annual revenues.

They'd much rather let him sulk for a year and leave for nowt.

Indeed, a motivated, wanting to be here DdG will no doubt help you lot get CL.. which is considerably more than 20m... but what if this isn't a Motivated, wants to be there DdG? Could do more harm than good?
