Isaac Hayden, have any of you lot seen much of him? Apparently he is in Hull today finalising a season long loan move, we are also linked with Damián Martínez, not sure how true the rumours are. Should we be getting excited?
Jon Toral loaned to Birmingham City Young midfielder Jon Toral has joined Birmingham City on loan for the 2015/16 campaign. It will be the Spaniard’s second season in the Championship, following a successful spell with Brentford in 2014/15. Toral, 20, made 37 appearances and scored six goals for the Bees, including a memorable hat-trick against Blackpool. A regular for the Gunners’ under-21s before heading out on loan last term, Toral was also involved with the first-team squad for this summer's tour to Singapore and the 2014 pre-season trip to New York. Ex Barca youth player who came with Bellerin to us. Will be interesting to see if Toral is the real deal.
Hayden is rated very highly. Had an injury which hampered him last season but he's very composed and intelligent for his age. You lot better play him. Martinez is good. Some see him as a future #1 when Cech steps down. He's improved a lot since the 7-5 vs. Reading. Still isn't he finished deal but regular playing time will go a long way to helping his development.
I'm hoping Hayden will be played in midfield, as he hasn't got a chance of dislodging the likes of Dawson/Davies/Maguire at centre back. At the moment we only have Meyler and Huddlestone in the central midfield role (Diame won't be fit for a few months) so I would imagine him being first choice in that position, thanks for the info! The Martinez link was bollocks apparently, now we are linked with Akpom (More than likely bollocks as well), he looked quality in the Toulon Tournament with England U20's this summer though, would definitely have him.
Akpom is joining Hull on loan. You should be excited about him. He's a quality finisher and a really strong lad. He'll do well in the premier league, I hope it's with us ultimately but he should do really well at Hull http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33741146
New rumors saying Lewandowski to City, Aguero to Madrid, and Benzema to Arsenal. Of course its most likely bollocks but let a man dream.
With Apkom off to Hull, Sanogo also out on loan and the sale of Podolski, perhaps we will sign another striker this Summer.
Hopefully its not just the Walcott deal. It looks like Joel Cambpell is about to seal a permanent move to Palmero. That would mean: Podoslki to Galatasary J.Campbell to Palmero Akpom to Hull (Loan) Sanogo to Ajax (Loan) Surely our chances of bringing in another striker have increased?
Ismael Bennacer has signed. Anybody know anything about him ? http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...er-Arles-Avignon-Arsenal-Transfer-News-Gossip
http://www.oddschecker.com/football...rim-benzema/club-after-summer-transfer-window 3/1 for Benzema to join us with BetVictor. Got to be worth a little nifty methinks. The winnings will pay for my FA cup final ticket next year
It would be great if we signed a class striker to challenge Giroud, but I'm not sure we will as (if Campbell goes) then of all those strikers listed, Campbell and Pod were loaned out last season because they couldn't get any games, while Sanago was already on loan for development and you could argue that Akpom has been replaced by the fully fit Walcott (who wasn't fit when Pod/Campbell were loaned out). It maybe the case that Wenger is streamlining the squad of players he thinks won't play.
Honestly I cannot see Sanogo making it for us. He's 22 now, 23 in January, and I just haven't seen him show his quality enough times. His touch and off the ball movement are just shocking, whilst the technique in his shooting is conference standard. I'm not going to write him off completely - after all, managers must see something in him if they want to take him on loan (Ajax, Palace), but he looks so far behind our other youth prospects at the moment that I'm not sure how long Wenger will have patience with him for. This as well as his injuries mean that I think his days at Arsenal will be numbered.
Di Maria close to joining to PSG, can't remember a bigger flop in terms of leaving after just one ****ing season, I know United have not made a huge loss, but the guy basically gave them a season before bottling it and going for the easier option of going to a lesser league where PSG dominate.
And to think many of them thought he would be the better out of him and Sanchez, lolz. So much for being a poor man's Dimaria.
Being linked to Ibrahimovic on twitter a lot today. He's 33, arrogant, sometimes lazy but...He would probably win us the league.
He's still got it. He would easily smash in over 25 goals in a league season for us, providing he stays fit. Give him a one year contract i say
I'd call £15million + millions in wages for a player that flattered to deceive a pretty big loss. It's also said that PSG's £45m fee includes add-ons that aren't guaranteed
TBH I think Wenger will sign another forward player, I don't think Wenger would have let Akpom go if he wasn't, Wenger's let a lot of forward players go this season, Podolski, then Sanogo and Akpom on loan, Wenger would have definitely kept one of those 2 if he had no intention of getting in another forward player, that's his usual style in previous seasons, when he kept one youngster to make up for numbers.
