Milner and Henderson need a DM behind them - allows them to attack with more freedom, and it leaves us less exposed.
Well exciting first half..not. I know its a friendly but we have not looked anything like a team, even a team playing a friendly

Concerning that this is virtually our last game before the season starts.. We don't look anywhere near 100%.
I had my fears that we would start with a two man midfield and was told it would be unlikely given we'e played 4-3-3 for most of preseason.
This is Rodgers we're talking about - he wants 4-2-3-1 and has done since he;s been here.
Attack is toothless but midfield is garbage. Provides absolutely nothing at both ends of the pitch.

Could be worse, City lost 4-2 and were 4-0 down at half time despite playing a strong squad compromising of only 1 or two kids.

They're friendlies and mean **** all. Just a chance to get fitness going and try things out.
Yes be lovely to to win them all playing lovely football but pre season results and performances rarely mean anything when it comes to the proper season.
Love your optimism but I don;t care about City.
I know it's preseason and we shouldn't read too much into this but by now, I expected us to have a good idea of what the team will look like in terms of personnel and tactics. Is this the first time we've played 4-2-3-1?
We did a lot of business early on but our team looks incredibly disjointed.

I'm pretty sure Rodgers has some sort of idea what his team will look like going into Sunday.
Hasnt helped weve been without some of squad attacking wise due to copa America
remember we still have Firminho and Benteke to come in and possibly a fit Sturridge for a couple of weeks before Xmas, when he will get injured for the rest of the season.
