It is also a sign of lack of imagination/ability in a manager when they can't make that player work. Hate to say this but Wenger was excellent at seeing how a player can work in a certain position. One of the best examples of that is Ray Parlour. Ok, he didn't sign him, Parlour was already there, yet Wenger adapted what Parlour dos, where he stood on the pitch and even told his team mates to only pass to him in a certain way.

By the way you're not talking complete ****; you should drink and post more often :)

A great example from before the premier league were the teams of Brian Clough at Nottingham Forest - Gary Birtles et al. Went away from a system which suited and looked nothing like the players they were again.
 
Apparently we have failed with a £5m bid for Nicolass Lombaerts of Zenit St Petersburg........can't say I knew much about him.

Me Neither....reached for Google and Belgian international centre back, 30 years old. Has been with Zenit since 2007 and part of the side which won the Uefa cup. Looks like a mainstay of their defence. Was linked with Sunderland earlier in the summer.

Yep he was, but he denies it. No one else is reporting we are interested(yet). Oh and The Sun, but that isn't worth much.

Don't know why we bother with scouts and the black box when one fan watching a 3 min video clip knows soooooooooo much better. <laugh> Mmmm....I wonder if the black box is actually a Saints fan who just sits there going no...yes...maybe.
