No worries fella, just a little bit of a fun fact I came across while doing some light research. All the choices were hoops but they opted to stick with thick hoops, the others were mostly really thin hoops options which would be very new to the club. As you probably remember they've worn plain red and stripes too but did you know originally they wore Blue like us?
The first ever cup tie I saw was against Rovers at Roker about 1949 when we would smash them 6-0 because they were only 3rd Division. They won 2-0 and their scorer was Eddie McMorrin. One of those things that stick in your memory.
