    Preview
Sunderland go into the penultimate game of the pre-season with the fitness and hot weather training behind them and will now be looking at performance. Mixed results on the tour of the US and Canada were unimportant but fans will now be looking to some kind of on pitch chemistry and progression.

    Team News

    Doncaster Rovers
Paul Dickov has hinted he may start trio Paul Keegan, Richard Chaplow and Nathan Tyson who have been struggling with injury, but insists he has no qualms in waiting until Saturday should they lack match fitness.

    Sunderland
Sunderland will have all new signings available for the first time this pre-season with Jeremain Lens, Younès Kaboul and Sebastian Coates all expected to play a big part, however, Jordi Gomez will miss the game after being ruled out for the start of the season.

    About Our Opponent
Donny finished mid table last season in 13th place in League 1. Last seasons top scorer Nathan Tyson(12) has notched 2 goals in what is so far an unbeaten pre-season for Doncaster Rovers

Donny play out of the 15,000 capacity Keepmoat Stadium.

In a pre-season vote the Donny fans opted to keep to their traditional thick red and white hoops.

    Tickets
Tickets are still available for Wednesday night's match. Details available here http://www.safc.com/news/ticket-news/2015/july/doncaster-tickets-still-on-sale

Glad to hear the fans opted to keep their red and white hoops - I didn't know that, and thanks for including it, mate. It's never been a very common strip. Exeter City used to have it and (I think) Hamilton Academicals at one point. But it's good to see that survive. Thanks again.

No worries fella, just a little bit of a fun fact I came across while doing some light research. All the choices were hoops but they opted to stick with thick hoops, the others were mostly really thin hoops options which would be very new to the club. As you probably remember they've worn plain red and stripes too but did you know originally they wore Blue like us?

The first ever cup tie I saw was against Rovers at Roker about 1949 when we would smash them 6-0 because they were only 3rd Division. They won 2-0 and their scorer was Eddie McMorrin. One of those things that stick in your memory.
