According to some people in Norwich the Canaries have written off what we still owe on Snodgrass. So yes it is a good deal for us all things considered. Just what took the deal so long and has Brady got a relegation clause in the deal ?
I think it's fairly certain that a w/o happened for the outstanding money on Snodders, but it definitely formed part of the price rumoured in the press - that came from the one Norwich poster on here with links to our club who has always been very reliable. Latest I've heard from someone claiming to have a contact (but no way of verifying and no-one else has backed this up) is that the break down was roughly £4/4.5m up front, plus a write-off of the Snodders debt, plus maybe as much as £1m. If the amount of the Snodders debt is as it was rumoured about half of the fee agreed last summer (£2.5-2.75m) then that would set the total deal value at just under c. £7m now and well north of that if all targets are met. That could be a load of horseshit though, even if it makes sense so feel free to completely ignore all that It's safe to say that many (though not all) Norwich fans think that you boys have the better side of the bargain here, but I suppose if he keeps us up and we sell him for a profit it makes no bones. We'll see. Best of luck with bouncing straight back up
I've not seen £6m quoted anywhere (not saying it hasn't, just I haven't seen it), I've seen £4m and £5m and I don't think we'd pay more than the latter. £5m is a decent amount of money for Brentford, if we were shelling out £8m I'd want Odubajo thrown in aswell.
I think it was one of their local rags that quoted someone from Brentford saying they valued him at £8m, they'd obviously accept less, it's just a case of how much less.

****ing hell, if we're going to throw £8m at a striker surely we can do better than Gray? £8m is stupid money in the championship, we paid less then that in the premiership for Jelavic!
