It was a joke mate, hence the lol. I hate racism as much as the next person, but I do laugh at jokes about racism. There's a big difference and you should really be able to differentiate between the two, in all honesty.
From a balanced individual who hadn't asked for a ban already I would differentiate. He was't joking at all as evidenced by his history (he's referred to our player as a 'coon' before) and the fact that clearly myself, JPF and even Bri, within minutes read it exactly the same way. No grey areas.
Can you be banned from a board for racist comments without being banned from the site? I like Billy but don't always see things the way he does, he definitely gets caught up in the heat of the moment, he appears to have a heart of gold but with a self destruct button.
I honestly aren't too up on site rules mate but I'm sure it's against them. I just do my bit on the Toon board and it's up to the SAFC mods how they police their board and posters.
Bit more lax over there bud, however they do lose good posters from some of it. Blunham and Disco most recently, not sure if it's permanent. I have to admit I tend to get involved as well, in heated debates regarding immigrants and religion etc and maybe I've been guilty of pouring petrol on the fire once or twice but since Disco and Blunham quit (semi retired) I've vowed to rein it in and be more considerate. I addressed Sammy's issue with Billy straight away actually, and in Billy's defence he admitted it was uncalled for and retracted his statement. Like I say he's got a big heart underneath his destructive persona on here. He's not your best friend mind!
Big shame that Disco has gone under those circumstances. He's one of the old guard along with Whitey, Mush and Comm and he's always been a decent chap. Reference the last comment, I hadn't noticed. Thought he was always polite and spoke well of me behind my back?

He is only saying it for the reaction from you lot rather than his own personal views on what he was actually saying. You do know that don't you Albert? You must do. He knew what he was doing, he knew he was getting banned, he knows he can't say stuff like that, it's his own fault, he knows it's his own fault, he know it was wrong, but he doesn't care, as long as it wound you lot up and it did.
