Terry must really relish the pickle his team got us into today! “And the staff have done a fantastic job with the pitch. The pitch is superb.” - doesn't seem that way from what others watching the match are saying.
Missed most of the 1st half but Toilett looked as bad as usual, SWP in disguise? JET looks very average at best. Polter doesn't look like a prolific goal scorer, which is the reason we paid naff all for him. Against a half decent team we would have been taken to the cleaners today!! We need a proper defence and a striker to replace charlie. TF goes from one extreme to the other!! I dont care about wasting £ on QPR player to watch this drivel, its the time i have lost that frustrates me!!
Henry is the one that left to join Arsenal (younger lad) Harly is the one that started today http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/arsenal-raid-qpr-son-chelsea-legend-dennis-wise-4057271 http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/210314-harly-wise-signs-qpr-pro-deal-1433504.aspx
I haven't seen any of our pre-season games, but what you write is what I been afraid of, seeing who we have let go already and with our defense.
We looked ok in the first half.... it's a pre season friendly. Don't take it too seriously. Things will be different when it's competitive and in front of a hot crowd. The second half was disjointed after several substitutions. I'm not saying we were fantastic but several of our good players weren't even there. There was some genuinely good passing football in the first half but not much bite with Polter up front.
A bit like wasting two hours of your precious time watching a crappy film at the cinema or even free at home on TV.
I'm suffering from a similar predicament. Although it isn't! I'll try to explain. Last season I had the full Sky Sports Sports package, as well as broadband, HD and multi-room etc. It cost's a fortune. Then they sneakily put their prices up and announce this on budget day, hoping that no one would notice. So you're paying more for less. Bt Sport has sole rights to Champions League, although we're not in it, I still enjoyed the coverage. That's gone unless you pay a premium. After three years of subscribing to QPR player with **** all content that you couldn't get on 'youtube' I'm now forced to pay for the new HD as well. I may well consider boycotting it all and watch it down the pub where it will still cost me a minimum of £15 in beer. Ode to joy.

Agree Nines and it won't stop there Turn your TV to the wall mate These companies have hijacked football for one reason ... Profit Poured money into a circus that allows crude salaries to players I am drawn to watching more Mobtpellier games and French footie at least you get to see the talent before they all get exported to the money pit Look where we are at QPR Dismissing players after two friendly games We will no real idea on what our team is until September and I am worried our fans are secretly expecting to be in the top six all season. I will try and catch more games this year live after October My boys are all set to go to most matches before then and I agree with them that we are where we need to be in the championship and as a club we need a solid work up It's far more exciting IMO to struggle rather than pretend we are a team
Not sure what the panic (?) is all about.....these results are meaningless although winning is good as it becomes a habit, but the real purpose is for players to gain match fitness and to use that crap term, gelling...... If the results meant anything the likes of Burnley will be condemed to relegation because they lost 3-2 to Chesterfield on Saturday after leading 2-0.....
Gave up Sky/Sky Sports a few years ago now 9's. Got Freesat, a one off payment for the box, and then no more subs ever! I still miss the Sky Sports, but not their exorbitant monthly payment, but a short 20 min drive to my daughter's house sorts that out if there's anything decent on Sky Sports!!
But at least Burnley were able to score a couple of goals, be it in a losing cause. I find it worrisome that our current squad seem unable to score any goals against notably (on paper) weaker opposition, even when Charlie was playing against Dundee United. I believe scoring goals will build confidence within the team and does have some meaning, especially if we are hoping to get the season off to a strong start against Charlton at The Valley.
I get the impression there are lots of people on here that feel we need to stay in the championship for at least a year to build a strong team before heading back to the Premier league. I reckon that will go out of the window and there will be very little patience when the season starts especially if we lose to Charlton
And Chelsea lost 4-2 with most the goals coming in second half against what was effectively a New York Red Bulls reserve side! Massive over-reaction to a pre-season fixture. Think there are a lot of people nervous because squad is still light on numbers and there is uncertainty until 1st September which can’t be avoided. But just to remind everyone who is panicking… only 11 players can start the game against Charlton. Not 25!!
