Ideas of somewhere for Sunday lunch? West Hull villages but needs to be somewhere I can reserve a table as there are 7 of us
The Star at Sancton is good, but I doubt you'll get seven in this late on, Triton at Brantingham is decent, or the Black Horse at Elleker. Personally, I'd go into Hull and go to 1884, excellent Sunday Lunch and not daft money of a Sunday.
I booked Sunday lunch for next weekend at 1884 looking forward to it. Also going to try the Westwood, Cave Castle Hotel and Pipe and Glass over the next few weeks.
I've just had a look at 1884 menu's **** me pretentious doesnt come into it. Blow torched fillet of mackerel!!! All trying to be local Winestead this Bridlington that. Then they have Cod as a main GTF
Depends on what you want. if you want proper pub grub sunday lunch then I'd go to Goodmanham Arms, but you have to go about now or it all gets sold out. You also might struggle to get a table as there are only a handful of places to sit. Good ale though. If you want carvery and don't mind big fat chavs, then West Bulls in Cottingham is decent, as is Darleys.
Yeah it's a good day, I usually go with the family! But this year it's clashing with the rovers cup game & i'm off to the boxing! So the numbers might be down.
Thanks for that. Might change the date. Is street sesh worth going to?[/QUOTE] Sesh definitely worth it if you like live music I wouldn't discount 1884 because of it either ( unless you need to park close...because you won't )
Skidy Mill Restaurant, took my mum there for her birthday, good food and made her feel special, well recommended.
Star at Sancton - Superb. We took the in laws on Friday evening just gone, easily one of the best restaurants locally. Highly recommended from me. Yorkshire Pudding and Oxtail starter is excellent.
