Yeah, Jeff Stelling doesn't often get it wrong, Hartlepool are a cracking little team and slowly building up to better things.
Wow. 5k is a fantastic achievement for them, that's gonna mean more or less a full house every week. I hope the clubs owners gesture, and the fans backing, is rewarded with a play-off push, they were magnificent when we had them at the SOL in the cup.
It's a very well run club. Apparently their bonus system is very lucrative, thus giving the players the imputus to put in maximum effort.
pools are my second team. Always have been and always follow them ALMOST to the same extent as I do sunderland. Its a brilliant thing they've done with their season tickets, i can remember them getting little over 3,000 a week. 5000 is gonna be tremendous. Added to this they've made some shrewd signings this window. They'bve brought in skunk favourite nobby solano on a free and Colin Nish from hibs. both players who can play at a high standard than league one. Its exciting times for pools, and for sunderland. I cant remember the last time I looked forward to a season as much as this one.
Seems a really smart approach for a lower level team. Sounds promising, Nish is a good goalscorer, we should send them a couple of loanees.
sending out the likes of knott or laing would do wonders for the pools squad. its still a bit thin. theyve brought in 4 but released six including what i considered to be a bloody good player in leon mcsweeney. time will tell though.
I'd have no objections to them taking some of the young 'uns, the ones that are a couple of seasons away.
Always liked the chimp chokers and always look for their result on a Saturday, decent fans as well glad they are on the up.
I always think of Hartlepool as our nearest [civilised] neighbours, so always look out for how they are getting on..
I would have gladly given them a young'un who wasn't quite ready for the top flight like Henderson if the scousers hadn't give us 20 large for him :-D
