I'm of the view we got two installments for suarez. 75mil/2 = 37.5mil.. we also didn't spend in january. I think we've been able to afford these fees. I think we will sell to buy now though. lambert is 3 mil. borini could be anything. balotelli is a joke we won't shift. I think we have the cash for ONE more. illaramende seems more real that this please log in to view this image Liverpool could beat Manchester United to the signing of Pedro, according to reports. Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claim Liverpool have made contact with Barcelona over the possibility of a £22million move. A bid of that amount would trigger the Spaniard's release clause and a deal could be done in the coming days. United was believed to be the 27-year-old's most likely destination. Pedro is reported to have told friends he is off to Old Trafford but new reports suggest he could now arrive on Merseyside. Having made more than 200 La Liga appearances for the Catalan giants, the World Cup winner is one of the summer's hottest properties. It is believed he will be allowed to leave the Nou Camp after falling down the Barca pecking order. Now firmly behind the preferred front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, Pedro was resigned largely to cameo roles from the bench last season. And Brendan Rodgers could offer him regular first-team football as he looks to re-shape his attack at Anfield. The club have already secured the services of Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings, and are close to completing a £32.5m deal for Aston Villa's Christian Benteke. Source: Daily Express
sure but if he's still blown off it then its no good. but in general him for 75% of our games... sure it would work for a year or so.
According to Sky the deal took longer than expected and will be published tomorrow. .. not today as I was told. Sky reporter on tour with lfc says illaramende and Pedro are completely made up. Benteke is LAST deal we will be doing this summer.
I wouldnt be surprised if the delay was just waiting for Lambert to go so that Benteke can be number 9.
Another disappointing summer then, although not as disappointing as last season. We could have done so much better with the money spent.
welllll.... it would seem to me at the worst the committee including manager got exactly who they were after..... unless someone tells us otherwise after the fact and the tears are flowing. I think a) most all additions improve us. Even ings v borini is an improvement. clyne v johnson, milner v aged gerrard, firmino v disgruntled and deliberatly poor sterling, benteke v any striker we have. b) sure we'd all like lots of players. we are short at lb. we are short at CM going into season. CM is most worrying. c) we've a full squad now. it should be one in one out and anyone not performaing 100% should be dropped.
