Don't think we will see incoming of any more strikers until Austin as out of the door.

Defenders seem to be the main problem. Very little appears to be going on there. (I did say "appears".)

Two stories emerging this morning.

One claims a bid has been rejected.

The other claims he's signing on Monday.

I can't say I know the player but it sounds like we're trying to replace Fer (Dutch attacking midfielder) with Fer II. Replacing the old one because he wants to play in the level above with another that wants the same.

Players like Luongo want to play in the Premiership but seem to appreciate the route there is just as important for them. Chery seems to not care about the route there, just the speed he can achieve it which means we'll have to bribe him to drop to our level (wages or non-promotion clauses) and that suggests in itself an imperative to get promotion first time rather than an ambition or hope to do so.

Essentially, it's the first sign of the old traits rearing their ugly heads. Not well explained but hopefully you can see why I'd say no (and moreso why we're better off trying to convince Fer to stay).

Plus Taragon Cherry sounds like a Moroccan recipe.

Cheap? Realistic for our standing maybe. But I wouldn't say cheap.

It's not really exclusively a QPR problem. It is the wider problem of greed and excess in football as a whole.

Miljoenentransfer naar Londense club
Chery op weg naar QPR

Tjaronn Chery is op weg naar het Engelse Queens Park Rangers. De aanvallende middenvelder, die eind vorig seizoen al mocht ruiken aan het Nederlands Elftal, wordt maandag medisch gekeurd in Londen en zet zijn handtekening onder een meerjarig contract. Groningen ontvangt een transferbedrag richting de drie miljoen euro.
QPR degradeerde afgelopen seizoen uit de Premier League en stelt alles in het werk voor een snelle terugkeer op het hoogste niveau. Chery liet de training van Groningen deze morgen al schieten om geen risico te lopen met het oog op de aanstaande transfer.
QPR heeft met Leroy Fer ook al een andere Nederlandse kandidaat voor het middenveld.

Chery onderweg naar QPR, ontbreekt op training

17-7-2015 09:21 - Tjaronn Chery ontbreekt op de training van FC Groningen. Volgens algemeen directeur Hans Nijland ontbreekt de middenvelder wegens onderhandelingen met een buitenlandse club over een transfer.

Via Twitter bevestigt Nijland dit nieuws. ‘Tjaronn Chery is vandaag niet op het trainingsveld van FC Groningen. Verregaande gesprekken gaande over transfer naar buitenlandse club’, meent de Tweet.

Om welke club het gaat, is niet bekend gemaakt. Wel werd Chery de laatste weken al in verband gebracht met een transfer naar het buitenland. Onder andere Napoli, SS Lazio, Aston Villa en clubs uit China en het Midden-Oosten zouden geïnteresseerd zijn. FC Groningen wil 4 miljoen euro voor de smaakmaker vangen.

UPDATE:
Chery is onderweg naar Queens Park Rangers in Engeland. De aanvallende middenvelder zal maandag de medische keuring bij de Londense club ondergaan, waarna hij zijn krabbel kan zetten onder een meerjarig contract. FC Groningen zal naar verluidt 3 miljoen euro vangen voor Chery.

Queens Park Rangers komt uit in de Championship, de club degradeerde het afgelopen seizoen uit de Premier League. De Engelse club wil zo snel mogelijk terugkeren op het hoogste niveau van Engeland en Chery moet hierin gaan bijdragen.

QPR have agreed a deal to sign Dutch midfielder Tjaronn Chery, according to reports in Holland.

The midfielder will join from FC Groningen for a fee of around £2.25m if he passes a medical on Monday.

The Rs are currently in Italy on a pre-season tour but are due back in west London over the weekend.

Chery, 27, is still training with the Eredivisie side but away from the first team as the move edges closer and he cannot run the risk of injury in full training.

The former ADO Den Haag man has had three stellar seasons in Holland with 25 league goals in the most recent two campaigns with Groningen and eight in the 2012-13 season with Den Haag.

The attacking talent made the bench for a friendly for the Netherlands against the USA in June but is yet to play for the seniors.
