Don't think we can read too much into this just yet, but I'm really not surprised that Lovren and Skrtel are playing together, and Sakho is in the first team.

Think they've a few good contributors.. not sure on Pajak mind but he's not all bad.

 

Yeah, they are knowledgeable and mad keen. Always have a good craic aswell, what's not to like

Hows it looking so far?

 

Not much to say but Gomez does look quality. Looking forward to seeing him develop.

 

They've already given us a better game than what the All stars gave us in the full 90.

Bit sloppy so far, but I suppose that's what Pre season is for.

Gomez looks good, Sakho has given the ball away twice already, and Origi is struggling to get to grips with the game so far.

Fairly even game at the moment.

Lol Skrtel doing what he does best. And a non-existent midfield.

Just like the last 2 seasons.

 

Sakho has started slowly as well.

 

First impressions:
Gomez at left back doesn't look out of place, Clyne OK, but looks one footed.... very one footed
Origi first touch ok but a bit lost
Ings non existant
and Skertl missing his man again. 0-1 ffs.
Why have we given him a new contract.
As some of us suspect our midfield is going to lack creativity this season, without Coutino/Firmino.

 

I'd sooner give Ilori a chance at centre back and let him develop for the season than continue to play Skrtel.

 

We cannot pay the price for a good CB.
