Amazing the difference "runs on the board" make! It's a perfect batting track. Even now it is as well but Australia having got to bat first means that the England players go in with a different mindset. Cue a last wicket stand on day 5 between Wood and Anderson to secure a draw a la Jimmy/Monty

Yep - the batsmen will have to play their part to give us any chance of avoiding defeat.
Sadly i have very little faith in Lythe, Bell or Ballance tbh. I don't think either of them will be in the side this time next year.
They could be into our middle order before you know it and it's going to be Root that has to save us again...as mentioned earlier tho the toss is crucial sometimes. Could have been so differant. The toss of a bloody coin eh!..
