Thats promising anyway. Looks like we could be getting that Friday announcement.

Jesus, if this comes off and we also get at least a CB and some more creativity up front, some more pace...we could actually look like a team going into the new season. Still need a few more in though.
 
We definitely need more. At least a CB and a LB is critical if you ask me so do not get me wrong. But IF Austin signs that will be a big help for the team. We have not had a CF for a long time who is able to take the pressure off the rest of the team and keep the opposition busy further up the pitch. That was a huge problem for us last season.

Im alright with LB tbh, id obviously prefer better but dummett and haidara could at least be a fairly solid option (possibly less so haidara.) As long as we get and maintain a strong core to the team then you can afford for a few lesser talented players as the relative strength and leadership of the side can pull them through it.. or onto better things. As it is the past few seasons theres been nowhere to hide and peoples weaknesses have been easily exposed. Im also pretty certain we wont strengthen that area so possibly affecting how I view it.

We should have kept Santo imo because haidara and dummet are hopeless

yeah a better player than both really but still often unreliable and exposed. I always wondered how he would respond to better coaching, but alas we loaned him out before sir alan could really get his teeth into him.

Id be a lot more confident if he was our first choice LB with one of the others as back up though, and dummett did look better at cb. Its hard to judge a lot of our players fully based on the shambles of the last few seasons (or season and a half), its been almost top to bottom garbage.
 
We will sign both he and mitrovic and banega then two cbs and a left back.
 
If this is true I will be absolutely buzzing. The lad is just a goalscorer through & through.
